Is Phillip Phillips perhaps AI's best male contestant of all time? I can't think of anyone that comes close.

If Colton went next week, I would be thrilled and probably immediately pissed when they save him. He's the Anti-P2 in every way. One is natural and secure, the other is a wannabe poser.

From the select performances I've seen this season, I like Jessica the best. I guess.

Phillip Phillips is OK. He's certainly no Kris Allen (no one else can compare DUH) but he's miles better than Lee Dewhathtefuckwashisname. If we're talking about WGWG, I mean. I certainly don't think he's the best male contestant of all time.

The judges were poo pooing 2P performance tonight. Maybe it's because I haven't watched the past couple episodes but I thought his performance of some M5 song was fantastic. I thought it sounded really good. The last song I bought from an AI performer was Adam Lambert but this performance is one I kind of thought about buying.

On to the rest:

Skylar is going to be around a long time whether she wins or not and I think she could win.
Ledet is good but I don't think he'll win.
Colton I like but ya I think he may be a poser.
Jessica was good but I wasn't a fan of the song.
Hollie sang her song very well but I agree that something was missing from it.

Sorry but I've never been a fan of Elise's voice. She messed up that song for me and I love that song.

As for her singing last or near the end so often maybe it's because they are trying to keep her alive in the competition. Ugh. It's sickening.

Elise sucks. 2P is awesome on Somebody That I Used to Know. Elise butchered the song.

Funny, I watched the performance and thought the exact opposite. Not that Phillip butchered it, but Elise sounded much better on it than he did.

Elise shouts too much for my taste. And her voice rasp isn't of the good kind IMHO.

I thought she oversang it and he undersang it. He seemed positively bored.

I love me some P² but he was off the melody just a tad at the end; he was singing faster than the song. #1 on iTunes by a huge margin now. Gotye has many thanks to give Fox this week.

In 2P's defense he did say he didn't know the song (really 2P, how do you not know this song, it's everywhere) and this was Elise's choice.

Once again, the "best" female vocal singer was about to be bounced and I'm guessing she will probably be bounced before the top 2 now.

I tuned into the results show mostly to fangirl over Kris Allen and was kinda shocked at what we were left with at the end: 4 girls and 2 guys. It's been a while since Idol had that kind of gender imbalance in favor of the women. I guess Colton leaving was supposed to be shocking but I never liked any of the performances I'd heard of his so whatever.

His performance of Bad Romance wasn't inspiring and the outfit was terrible. I'm also bored with the hair. However, Elise has got to and she will be. Hollie will get bounced as well. With Colton gone its really down to P2 and Skylar.

I'd blame his stylist and his singing And choosing that song. Ya know, after hearing some of them sing her songs I'm starting to think no one else can really sing her songs. It just comes off all karaoke or plain bad when someone else does it.
