Ron Paul is clearly the best candidate for the Repubs... not only does he have the stance that the they need to embrace right now and the biggest thing that could make them the anti Obama, but he's also well spoken, charasmatic, can draw Dem voters by appealing to liberal beliefs and isn't prone to "OMG" looney stories every week.
It'll probably be Romney or Bachmann though.. and Obama will smash them
Ron Paul has lots of loony things about him including anti-semetic allegations. I may agree with a lot of his political stances but he does a poor job articulating them and I doubt his isolationist ideas would go over well if he were ever the nominee. Lots his ideas and gaffes get little traction because the media knows he has no chance. Just like Dennis Kucinich's gaffes and loony ideas get little play.
Ron Paul raised the most amount of money ever in a presidential race to get zero primary votes. He runs to get money. He also puts his own pork in bills then votes against the bill knowing his district gets the bacon and he can pretend he is extremely pure.
I would write more but using a phone on a message board is deeply annoying and difficult. Pardon my spelling and grammar.
Bachmann would be a great candidate. A true believer with a hypocritical closeted husband? If we're all going to sink into Jerry Springer mode, let's do it quickly.
I can not WAIT until he comes out of the closet!!!

I would now bet on Rick Perry. Romney is the Plastic Man and Bachmann is a fuckin idiot. Perry appeals to the hard right and seems relatively electable with the same everyday man Texas drawl Dubya had.

Nonetheless, if Obama does win in 2012, the house will be against him and the senate is a toss up.
Obama may face a lot of terrible situations however he has displayed spineless leadership. His great oratory no longer has any effect as we no longer trust in his words.
I do not understand why anyone would defend Obama's performance so far this year.

Weak leadership? Let the Country default... or give in to the majority in the House? Unfortunately, I would have rather had him stick it out. Even if the Country defaulted, he'd still win next year.

Actually by speaking too much it shows you are nothing more then a man of words. Obama speaks more publicly than any President, and frankly it is not working. Yesterday, investors realized Obama had nothing to announce and was simply saying nothing meaningful.
Today the Fed spoke decisively about doing certain things and the market in the end reacted positively to it.
