Politics wise: if Trump had this exact same economy, Pubs would be calling it the best ever for the stonk market highs and unemployment lows.

But since they are not in power, its a disaster, worst economy ever. "Hey everyone look at how expensive almonds are. Thats Joe Bidens fault!"

Yeah, I just commented on “Truth Social” in this forum because Trump is involved in both politics and the stock market.

Anyway, I have not checked its price lately, but the financials I heard don’t sound encouraging at all.

Bad day for the market. Job market is at the worst it has been in a year, which isn’t too bad as there still was an increase of jobs and unemployment is still very low. General consensus is the the Fed should have lowered interest rates this month. I fully expect them too next month, but recession talks are back online after being dormant for two years. I don’t think a recession will happen as the market is ready to explode once interest rates go down again

They surged a few weeks ago with the promise of interest rate cuts only for them to not happen. When interest rates are cut next month fully expect a big rebound

Stocks are soaring again. Economy is doing great. Inflation is way down. Interest rates are about to drop. This is a roaring economy. Let’s hope Americans don’t fuck it up and elect the Bankruptcy Kingpin Don the Con and his Trump Tariffs.

what isn't soaring are American intelligence and appreciation levels, far far too many people are taking the good times over the last 12 years for granted, spoiled and ignorant, many have become

There is a real cost of living issue in this country with how high home prices have gotten over the last two decades coupled with stagnant wages. But the Dems are actually trying to fight and the Republicans are just serving their billionaire overlords who are causing this gap in capital amongst everyday folk and the super elite wealthy

Stocks are soaring after the big Fed Rate cut. I think the cut was too big but Powell has proven me wrong in the past

The SSE was down to 2700 yesterday. Time for the CCP to buy a ton of stocks! Need to maintain the illusion that China is booming, lol

Post Re: Stock Talk
I heard the Fed, or a Fed board member, talk of immigration while evaluating policy. While you may speculate about the person’s politics, I think it’s a good bet, without even knowing anything about them, that they support Trump’s politics to some extent.

So, because of my prior comments about trying to (finally) leave this (political) forum, I feel responsible to address this issue. Obviously economics and politics can be considered in conflict and can be confused. However, political arguments against rational and objective statements are wrong regardless. Regardless even of political opinion, they are simply wrong in reality. You could compare the Fed to the Supreme Court. However, I think it’s obviously fair to say that the courts are more partisan than the Fed, or other agencies, whose work could be considered to meet the standards of the scientific method. The Judicial Branch functions much like the Executive and Legislative in terms of politics, with the only main differences being term limits, direct elections as opposed to political appointments, and the frequently of elections/appointments.

So, politics may have an influence on the Fed, just like it has an influence on Wall Street, but that influence is still restricted by the realities of economics and markets.

Good week. Airline stonks going ham and nice bump for crypto. I worry that a Trump victory will cause a flash crash though as he brings a tremendous amount of uncertainty to the market, which is whst investors fear most. Take a look at the Biden Bump of November 2020 for proof of that.

Yes stocks were going down earlier next week because of fear he would win and all of his Tariffs. Funny how the Republican Party became the party of economic anxiety

Stocks did skyrocket on the backs of some companies like Tesla having huge days as well as general positivity from Trump winning in the Wall Street community. The Wall Street Jornal types are going to be the most shocked that Trump 2025 is not Trump 2017. You are already seeing that come in this week as stocks just had a bad week. Of course this could be just because of Powell’s backing off more cuts. Trump will be bad for the economy if he thinks right now Tariffs are a good idea. But perhaps a tax on people might be good if it cools spending. Problem is Powell already achieved this in a more organic way. Worse news is if our labor which is already thunder to record low unemployment is lessened by a strong stance against immigration. These are the people that grow our food and build our houses. Could be a very bad time ahead of us economically. Remember this is the guy who bankrupted as several of his companies

Stocks outside of oil and a few other companies are tanking this week. I would expect more of this as the Trump administration continues to mismanage the country
