 Pictures in Signatures
OK, this is getting a little out of hand. Some people have pictures in their signatures that are as big as the screen. YOUR AVATAR IS FOR PICTURES. I don't know why people put pics in sigs anyway, it's kinda stupid and very annoying. Can you guys tone it down a little bit?

having pictures in signatures is fine. Ofcourse, like you stated, people have to be careful with the size of the signature.
MG Casey, feel free to point out signatures (and names of the people) that you feel are taking up your screen. Also, do tell me what your screen resolution is. as my own resolution is quite high, i can't always judge how big an image might be.
Thanks again.

@revolutions and matatonio: depending on the computer, browser and connection one uses, certain images can definetely be bothersome ...

why don't we have a set standard for sig sizes? like say Korrgan's sig pic size.
not to small and not too big.

Anyone working on a resolution below 1280x1040 needs to be shot in the face.
Seriously though, I think we should set a limit to accommodate those working on a low resolution or on dial up. Maybe 200x200 max?

wel .. some people still work with 15 inches and some even with 14 inches!!
so for me, the lower limit is 1024 by 768 though i wont be surprised (yet sad) that people prolly have 800 by 600 too !!
we can have a standard. but i really like neostorm's sig and i don't want it go : (
dance preeetys!!

I don't mind them, either, but there should be a limit. When you have a signature with a huge-ass picture of Elisha Cuthbert in her panties (and I really don't mind), and someone walks in on you while you're browsing... you know, people get the wrong idea.

Yeah, Spider-Man's sig is too big. The content is fine, but that is occupying way too much space and hinders others' ability to follow the conversation in the thread.

Yours doesn't bother me as much since it's spaced out and not one giant poster.

I think also that anyone whose signture pushes the page too far to the right where you can't see the edit / quote buttons and then everyones post is off line.
This happens also when one posts a signature without any breaks in it.
For example,
I know of one that does it in a binary code like 1010101010101010...........................
********************
