As that rare locking of the earlier thread demonstrates, no one who brings as much ill intent to this site as Libs, receives as much inequitable protection from the moderating team. I am more certain than ever that my decision to add her to my ignore list was a sound one.

This was not to protect anyone, but just to prevent yet another unnecessary and frankly meaningless argument. Also, as this is mostly about a moderating decision, this gets moved.

I think all BKB's heinous post did was show the rampant misogyny he possesses. I'm allowed to express myself on Filmgasm and be honest, it's a free country. It's not like anything I said over there I wouldn't say just as easily here (and if I am not mistaken, I DID say as much, multiple times). And I did not personally attack a single individual by name.

Whereas BKB is the one who demanded I "get in here" and called me a fat bitch about 200 times...and the starting topic of this thread is how I should be on the ignore list. Yeah, sounds about right.

The environment on this board has really become very hostile, and certainly towards me. Yeah I probably contributed to that at least a little bit (don't worry, I'll cool it on the "everyone's so negative!" stuff, I'm over it). But I feel like certain people are excessively rude towards me, and the fact that I'm a woman makes it all a little uncomfortable. I don't deserve to be called a "fat bitch" or "fat ass" or "sloppy seconds" for no particular reason. It's disgusting. I'm probably done having a personality here, because I think most people would apparently be more content if I kept my thoughts to myself. Damn these women having things to say.

Good Oh and before I forget, I went through that entire EPIC Thread again and I called you a fat bitch TWICE, not 200 times like you want everyone to believe.. Learn to fucking count.. You are a school teacher afterall..

Calling someone a fat bitch, even once, is a personal attack and has no place on these boards.

This isn't kindergarten, you don't have to like each and every poster on this site, nor do you have to get along with them. By all means, argue, have disagreements, and get your opinion across in whatever manner you feel most comfortable. BUT, do so while showing other members enough respect not to attack their appearance or personal life, that's where the line is drawn, and I don't think it's asking a whole lot.

Not that this has to do with anything, but BKB attacking my appearance isn't even correct. I am not and have never been fat (I have pretty consistently been an athlete since I was, like, 6 years old). And even if I was...who cares? I don't know why I'm automatically some tub of lard because I'm a woman who posts on the Internet.

For God's sakes BKB, leave Libs alone. Why do you even know about what goes on at Filmgasm? Or why do you care?

For the record, I agree with Libs. Too often people have some sort of vendetta against her and it's not fun to watch. But I've sat by idly enough and feel it's necessary to take a stand for her. I've been a dick to her in the past for no reason at all and I have apologized. She's pretty much been treated the same by a few others, off and on, and I have no idea why she stays. All I can say is I'm glad she does. One of our few good posters. But she doesn't have the greatest reasons to stay.

And I'm not saying we have a ton of bad posters. Just some that need to grow up.

Obviously she LIKES it here, even though she may say she dosent. She is one of the most active posters on KJ

Why in the world would you ever name your website filmgasm? It's not really clever and there is a zero percent chance of expanding it to be a mainstream website with that name.

I don't go to the site, but I don't mind the name.

And almost no movie site is going to become mainstream. "Filmgasm" is hardly so offensive it would bother the niche film geek demographic it presumably caters to.
