 Forum Virus There is some god damn worm in the forum.
I have to get it out ... forum will have to be shut down ... don't know how long this will take.

It happens because of a problem with phpbb, a few kids found an exception, a backdoor if you will in the code, and publicized it. It seems someone used this on our forum. We now have to upgrade and clean the forum or the server could get badly damaged.

It wasnt really anything wrong persay.
It was a perl.santy virus that got in through a backdoor and attached itself to our server.
From there it was broadcasting the internet looking for other phpb forums to infect.
We had to fix it so it could no longer do that.

heh.
The worm utilized a backdoor and ... well the reason it had to be fixed was it was using our server to broadcast around the internet to other phpbb forums trying to infect them as well. thats considered a malicious act,a nd they would have unplugged our server.

Everything works fine for me. If you are having continuous problems with a function please start a seperate thread on it, and explain what style your using, what happens and all of that and I will look into it further.
