Is there anyway to take away Grill's ability to make polls? He's gotta have like 50 running currently. It's a waste of space

AND FYI, A POLL IS ONLY A SUMMARY OF THE QUESTION AND ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE ANSWERING THE POLLS, GUESS THEY UNDERSTAND THE POLL BETTER THAN YOU.

I dont like the polls that much but unless they are duplicate threads, spams(advertising), and threads that attack/bait others, there isnt much I can do. If I were to close grill's threads then I might as well go close the other nonsensical/irrevalant threads that have occured in the watercooler forums that isnt made by grill and that would cause an outburst

You won't hear any complaints from me.

But anyway guess I will just have to try harder to make munk appreciate me in the future.

Some people maybe happy but others will form some lynch mob if I close a thread by a poster they like. It would be giving double standards to others unless we start writing rules on how many threads a person can create each day and how many they can bump personally.

I don't have any problems with your polls, at least for now.

Theres probably no problem with the threads but the constant bumping of them would be considered spam. Ease up on them. Most people dont like seeing 5 threads in a row or every other skipped thread with the same person over it. Nebs already gave you back your poll preferences back so at least dont abuse it

Looking at the Cinema & other pages, can someone look at them cause having half the page locked with these threads - some of which go back to 2008 - and others which are talked enough about would be mixed in the first 2 pages anyway and that would open up the mix of the first page.

The constant bumping with yet another copying of the poll results is completely unnecessary...

-5 big difference as most times I ask a question about the results

or when I print final results and I move on to the next poll

and see how much better the front pages look as Cinema lost like 12 locked it threads, surprised no one else but me ever notice...but that is because here too many people have tunnel vision and don't see the big picture.

whatever ....as you have shown you don't understand the polls...and yes 1 poll per thread, no more than that I promise!!!!!

and also as I said elsewhere...why just because I asked a good question that no one else thought of and people were answering because the losers came in to start trouble.

Some of those polls can be consolidated into one thread. The poll threads were dominating the forum to be truthful. I dont think people would have much of a problem if the threads were newsworthy like having a reported director onboard so you are within your right to start a few of those rather than making a random poll(although not all are bad)

How about a one-poll-a-day-per-poster limit? They have that over at AwardsDaily and it works pretty well.

FYI, What does everyone keep on talking about polls! Polls are only attached to a thread. SO EVERYONE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT THREADS NOT POLLS.

POLLS CAN EASILY BE PASSED ON WITHOUT BOTHER!!!

Anyway would people rather no polls and then I just computed the people mentioned in running totals throughtout the thread.

As hard as it may be for the rest of us to comprehend, I honestly don't think Grill grasps what the problem is!

How about if somebody doesnt like grills polls or threads, dont go into them
