 Arsi has left the building!
You may soon notice that bABA's name is no longer green, and unfortunately it's not a mistake. After over 4 years, Arsi will be relinquishing his owners role, effective today.
Arsi helped me get this site off the ground, it would be nothing without the work he put into it. Literally, it never would have gotten off the ground without him. I'm lucky to have known Arsi, he's played a bigger role in my life than he knows, and his presence will be sadly missed.
Best of luck in life Arsi, I wish you the best in everything you do and I can't wait until we team up on yet another dream.
KJ

KJ so going from owner to not an owner? well I guess after 4 or more long years and plenty of suffering behind them and the fruits to KJ's past labors right around the corner, I would imagine this was the case for some long negotiations and a very hefty buy-out ( maybe on the scale of Brandon/BOM and IMDB). Sure hope Arsi didn't go up againist Eagle and Loyal alone and contracted some high powered legal minds on his behalf. Oops, hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag and open Arsi's eyes but still > Arsi call Groucho before you sign!!!!!

Re: Arsi has left the building!
I'd love to hear the juicy bits of this story! 4 1/2 years of being committed and obligated to the internet is something I realize that I wouldn't have wanted. I thought I wanted to be involved with this kind of stuff at one time, but life changes, and I'm very glad website stuff that I was involved with here and elsewhere never happened. I wouldn't trade my life today for it. Maybe that's what Arsi realized. Then again, maybe y'all had a great big fight and tantrums are currently being thrown. I wouldn't bet on it that he'll "never" be owner again.

I was under the impression this site was like 2/3 Loyal's and 1/3 Arsi's.

Re: Arsi has left the building!
Yeah I thought they bought it from Eagle. It has never been really clear. I know it says site owner under eagle's name in the last year or so, that just started happening out of the blue with no explanation. I figured it was some sort of exciting power play behind the scenes that would make a good movie!

Re: Arsi has left the building!
Awwww. Well, Arsi has put in a ton of work over the years on this site, but probably his traveling schedule and familial responsibilities have made it too hard to juggle everything.
Anyways, I had a sense this was coming. I actually put my money down on it being way sooner, so thank goodness I'm so poor I only put down $.75.
Good Luck with your future endevours, Arsi.

Re: Arsi has left the building!
KJ gave me 5 wonderful years. Alas, this wasn't about irreconcilable differences, shutting out, a fight or anything remotely similar.
If people have followed a pattern on KJ, they will realize that myself, Karl and Loyal put quite a bit into it, whether it was creativity, monetary, development, marketing or content. It wasn't just us, it was quite a few of us. Ranging from the original team comprising of us, Galia, Zingy and Jeff, to the current team in place today, everyone put in a fair share. However, for myself, Karl and Loyal, we never had an option to walk away.
But we did from time to time. When one person walked, the other 2 took the burden and when it came time for the next one to take a break, the other 2 site owners filled in. That's how KJ operated, whether out of choice, habit or just unforeseen circumstances.
You may have noticed something in the 2nd para. I had no trouble naming the original team yet i casually mentioned 'current team' as opposed to taking names. Therein lies the reason for my leaving KJ.
Karl, Loyal and I rotated, put in work, quit, came back ... we all did our fair share. However, in the last 2 years, I have not been in a position to do that. With moving to another city, new job, new life, new commitments, there are only 2 or 3 types of roles that i can take for KJ yet sadly, while those might be important, those aren't the most pressing for the site at the moment.
Looking over the horizon, from maybe changing cities again, to purchasing a couple of new cars, maybe a home (finally), looking into starting a family (no .. not yet), work commitment, family commitment, monetary commitments, my inactivity is not limited to the last 2 years ... it will continue to remain that way over the foreseeable future and that, in my opinion, is completely unfair to the other 2 people in charge here.
Karl , Loyal and myself have had long discussions over this and tried to figure out what circumstances would suit the 3 of us carrying out weight. Mine were few at this point. Without some real monetary backing coming from somewhere, i could not be very useful to the site and would have continued doing absolutely nothing, as i have been the last 2 years. It was time to call it quits.
I apologize to Karl and Loyal for walking away after all this time, but also thank them for their understanding as well as a great 5 years working with the 2 of them. My hope is now to continue my relationship with them, as well as quite a few people i've met over this website in a more social context, ranging from crashing karl's wedding to pricking holes in loyal's condom during his next orgy.

How many cars are you buying? You should get the Tata Nano, it's only 100,000 rupees.

That timeline reminds me of the episode of Futurama where Fry is frozen and in the background you see New York change through the years.
