 Notice of Disciplinary Action
Arsi, Loyal and I have been discussing the recent events and the recent health of the forum, and are not happy with the general direction of interactions between members.
Many people here are far to argumentative, judgmental and just plain mean. Because of this, there has been a marked increase in personal attacks and fighting. This is something we want to stop, and we will be taking action in this vein. Three members will be banned for their actions over the past week, and we hope that when they return, they will give other members more respect than they have previously. Another member will be given an official warning, and several other members will receive PMs asking for a change in behavior.
Bannings: Argos - 2 weeks Getluv - 1 week Guybrush - 1 week
Warning: Mav - Personal attacks
Please note that we take personal attacks very seriously. Using personal information to degrade someone is strictly forbidden, and will be strictly enforced from here on out. Baiting will also be addressed at the discretion of the mod staff.
Please, help us create an environment where you can come to meet and discuss, not one where you come to see what the latest argument was about. Make a concerted attempt to respect your fellow members, and we can change things for the better.

And, to no surprise, the personal attacks toward me by Tony and Snrub are, as always, completely ignored. Why is that, Karl?

We agree that some of their comments toward you are out of line, and they will be receiving a PM from me shortly. You were warned because you went further, and more personal. Maverikk wrote: There are far worse people here than Joe. I'd consider him a more credible person than somebody like Snrub, who I've never seen do anything but act like that fucking asshole of the decade. That drunk spent 3 hours on a Saturday night posting and insulting me, for Christ's sake. Of course, not a goddamn thing was done about it, as excuses were made by the admins. Comments like this, directly attacking someone for being a "drunk", and referring to him as a "fucking asshole" are exactly the type of comments we don't want. While they both baited with you, and at times, insulted you, they never went as far, and as such won't be receiving a warning on this occasion.

Snrub ALWAYS following me around from thread to thread and saying shit is okay, but the first time I do it, WARNING? How about if I get drunk and act like a fucking asshole and go on insulting him for 3 hours like he did to me in the past. Will I get off without anything at all said to me like he did? This is just more favoritism bullshit. They are your friends and everybody knows it, so they will ALWAYS be treated above the rest. Just be honest about it.

 Re: Notice of Disciplinary Action
Mav, I always try to be as honest with you as I can, but when you make comments like the following: Maverikk wrote: I hope you are prepared to never have fun here again, because I will see to that. We'll find out how funny you thought you were. You want to push that insult over and over, then I won't feel the least bit bad watching you run and cry again because you can't handle the consequences. and Maverikk wrote: You can grandstand and say that in front of anybody that's too dumb to know better, but your recent pussy like behavior of PMing anybody who would help you out of a jam, and the hissy fit you threw in the past that caused you to "leave" because of me, tells me that you'll break fast.
Why shouldn't I, it's what you always do to me, so I'm just returning the gesture in spades. It makes it hard to feel bad for you when you have made it clear you are going out of your way to troll on the forums. As I said, we acknowledge that the behavior of Snrub and Tony needs to change. If it continues, please let me know.

It's great the admins here actually care about the forums....unlike BOM. Hopefully the situation will get better after this.

As I said, we acknowledge that the behavior of Snrub and Tony needs to change. If it continues, please let me know. So Tony ran for help again? Typical. He starts stuff and then can't handle the consequences. Why not just open the private fight club forum and let nature take it's course. If it's private, it's not for public display, and I'll guarantee big success toward shaping the forums up. Your way has been tried over and over, and even you said relationships are worse than ever. We are doomed to repeat mistakes when we don't change.

Mav,
Few things: - A Fight Club forum will not happen becuase that is not the type of environment we wish to have, even in private. - Tony never came to me regarding you. Arsi, Loyal and I were able to read and infer all on our own.

Snrub and Tony are being warned for baiting and if they do it again, yeah, they're in trouble. But if you're setting yourself as the bad guy as the forum, which you admitted you are for excitement purposes, admins and mods are going to treat you like a villain. I say just be Mav and everything will be fine. Good, they need to be warned. The way this place allows some people to get away with anything just gives everybody the insentive to try to get away with it, too.

They are not receiving an official warning, as you have, but they have been warned not to continue the behavior you are referring to, as it will lead to an official warning and banning if it continues. And we are aiming to cut down on the amount of personal attacks allowed, I fear we might see a few more warnings and bannings coming in the upcoming weeks. And Mav, the main site and forum are separate entities, you could have built it from the ground up and if you violate the rules of the forum, you will be banned accordingly.

Karl, don't justify that. You know it was bullshit personal feelings that got me banned, not any rules that I broke. Anyway, I'm done here.

 Re: Notice of Disciplinary Action
One question, is it possible for a person to be banned permanently? Because most of the time I see people here get banned for one or two weeks, yet on other forums whenever someone gets banned it's forever.

 Re: Notice of Disciplinary Action
If someone wants to be a part of the forum, then no, they won't be permanently banned. Lets take Goldie for instance. He was unable to follow the rules, was banned for 1 week, 2 weeks, a month and eventually a year, but he wanted to be part of the forum, and we are willing to give any member a chance to participate so long as they are willing to follow the rules. When he was allowed back, special requirements were made for him, such him having to agree to stricter rules, and the loss of the ability to create threads.
Argos's next ban for example, should he come back and violate the rules again, would likely escalate to 1 month.

 Re: Notice of Disciplinary Action
Waker of Winds.
There is a disagreement here on the permament ban thing and therefore, unless all the admins agree on this, this will not be enforced, unless its a spambot or a person who registered for the soul reason of spamming, or a double account (an account, that is double .. not both accounts).
For those wondering why it took this long to come up with a decision. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes for over a week now where a discussion on this has been going on. This has not been an impulsive decision. With the current crew involved and with the amount of baiting, it is difficult to determine who started what. It has taken the mods and admins a long time to start from scratch, forget who started the fight and just look towards who is trying to rile up and be a negative effect on the forum in general.

I am going to get a list together of all of Tony and Snrub's insults toward me (of which they have never even been warned about) and I'll list them here just so I can laugh at how you guys jump through hoops justifying how it's okay and no big deal if they insult me. You want me to drop the troll act, I want you to start showing that you are honorable, not shady and hypocritical, so let's see! You couldn't possibly think that letting them off (again!) was going to make you look like you were not full of shit. Fairness isn't a concept that KJ practices. For that, you should be ashamed.

 Re: Notice of Disciplinary Action
maverikk, you and your army of 0 can continue to stating your opinions as facts about hypocrisy, state of the forum and about honor.
the people who run this forum are not ashamed of what they do. It's a good thing they all know already that you will continue to say things about people the minute they disagree with you anyway and then love them again the minute they listen to 'your reasoning', only to hate them again, when they stop. we've all seen the behavior. its gotten old.
** awaits the mention of my dishonorable behavior, horrible admining or whatever else there is you can throw at me. I'll sit here with a smile**

First, Arsi was giving you his opinion.
Second, Arsi is no longer an admin.
Third, he wasn't baiting you, didn't personally attack you, and simply gave you his opinion. Deal with it.

I think that I, as a 39 year old individual, am quite capable of deciding for myself when I've been attacked, and I was. Snrub and Tony aren't admins, either. What does THAT have to do with anything? When I called Snrub a drunk asshole, I was stating my opinion. I wasn't insulting him. Is that how it works?

Mav has been banned for 1 week. I hope when and/or if he comes back, he will show members a little respect.
