Get over it. We have the foes thing for a reason, we can't go whining for a ban every time he says something we object to. There's been plenty of offensive stuff muttered by just about everyone on this site, but because he's not 'in' with all of us doesn't mean we can just sit around, wait for him to say something we think is offensive enough (when really, I doubt anyone really cares he said that, I mean most people treat him as a joke anyway) so we can rush and call for his ban. Eh I say that's bullshit. I think we need to be a little more welcoming, honestly. A lot of people jump on others way too quickly. He was pretty much given no shot as soon as he arrived.

EDIT: And really, as much as I used to love the guy, I don't see the difference between what jailbird has been saying and what getluv says 90% of the time. That whole emo thread and the shit he was saying (although yes, I'm supposed to know he didn't mean it seriously) was just as bad, if not worse than this quote of jailbird. But why isn't there a call for him to be banned? Because he's a regular? I think we need to stop treating this place as some elite higher form of forum and stop bullshitting ourselves. Someone needs to PM them like a responsible adult rather than simply banish them because a few people dislike someone enough to create a thread calling for a ban. I think contacting someone like Jailbird (PRIVATELY) rather than continuously calling him out in the forums (which obviously is going to get a negative rise out of anyone) is the better way to go about it.

French man, this is the way I look at it, and maybe it will help you out. Every poster here posts stupid, pointless posts purely to bait other posters. Everyone does it. The thing is, for everyone, there's a ratio of acceptable posts to unacceptable posts. If that ratio is nearly all unacceptable posts, that means the poster is far more detrimental to the forum than contributing and therefore should be banned. Yes, getluv can be annoying, and so can just about every regular poster here, but the ratios for most, if not all, of us is still within acceptable ranges. For Jailbird, his ratio was obviously not.

That's a good explanation, and I can't argue with that. But you have people searching, just waiting for him to say something they can consider offensive enough to ban him. It's the mentality some of the people here have. But I can't disagree with what you just said.

Eh. I would hardly warrant a red flag to getluv since none of the posters in the gaming forum ever takes him serious.
