Well that sucked. FInally got in after text-messaging bABA a million times. Yo bABA, in that thread where you say "write me," you may want to include an email address. :shades:

I had the same password for my email too. I tried to do a recovery, and the people basically must have deleted my account altogether, because there is no record of someone with the email address I used to have. :-( Is that normal? Anyone have suggestions about how to recover that account, or is it really gone?

Its just a pain. Not too important, but still, I feel like I might still have an email account with my info out there, and just an altered ID, and I like to know that stuff. If its totally gone, that's actually better. I've been trying to close/delete an old yahoo account from years ago and still don't see any my account options that just let you say "remove me from the system." So if there is such a way, I sure would like to know how to do it, so I can get rid of all my old silly accounts from when I was a teen.

Edit

Oh wait, my bad, you're actually describing something different than what happened to me

I think you had the same thing happen to you as I did, Libs... you'd try to login, but it would just lock up on a blank page forever, right?

No, Tony, Libs, that is what happened to me too. Only, whoever it was went to the email account I have listed here, and because either hacked it or guessed my password (it was the same password I was using here) deleted my actual email account. Now when I go to Yahoo, I can't get to the email account I used to sign up for here. I pretty much only started that account so I could give people I met here my email when I was too paranoid to give them my other email address, but still, its kinda weird that they somehow deleted the entire email account. Because, for the life of me I've been trying to delete accounts from five or six years ago, and yet I haven't had any success.

So my question is, for anyone that knows that old email account address (don't list it, heh). Send me an email, and see if it bounces back to you as an unknown user. If that's the case, they somehow got rid of the whole account. Otherwise, they must have just messed up my password (however when I try to retrieve my password, Yahoo says their is no such account, which is why I think they did the former). I'm just curious how they totally got rid of my email account. Maybe they can give me some tips to get rid of old high school accounts I don't use anymore, but are still sitting around yahoo somewhere sopping up spam.
