I hope I'm not one of these people. I only bring it up now, because in the Favorite Posters thread, I made a joke about being your favorite, and you said something like "I thought you were delusional, but thank God you came to your senses". It was HOPEFULLY not your original intent, but I thought you were kind of mean about it. Sorry if you weren't. I read too much into things. #-o to me!

I'm leaving this thread open a for a bit more.

There will be no perma banning on GOldie at the moment. There is no discussion on this between the mods right now.

a) Goldie makes 1 or 2 threads from time to time. Just like you, I personally dont care to visit them. But some of us do anyway. You dont like his thread, stay out of them. You know his nature, you know i dont like it either but I think its rather immature knowing how a perosn is and posting in there to bait him in anycase. Stay out. Baiting him to me is just as annoying as his posts. If there is some content in there that is freaky (refering to the loyal comments in that thread where goldie posted to himself), inform me. If hes spammed enough in 1 forum, inform me. I'll go in and close the thread if it has no reason to be there at all.

b) Goldie, post in any thread you feel like. But if you so much as refer to loyal or lecter or Mav in it, I'm coming in and taking action. If you even try to bait anyone in there, I'm coming and taking action. If you have a problem with the content of anything in the thread or feel a thread is complete spam, contact me (or contact Eagle since you prefer him much more than you prefer me) and tell him so. If you see someone bash you without you baiting them or anything, message one of us. We'll go in, ask the person why they did it. If there is no viable reason, you'll get the fair treatment.

c) The ignore function and reporting function is being looked into. It Eagle can find a way to install them, they're definetely coming.

Again, Goldie is getting no perma bannings. I have my reason for it. If you have issues with that, PM me.

I disagree... if someone keeps going after ignoring the other, it would definitely better point out who the problem person is and who truly can't drop it.

As for the mean comment, as Chris said in the why this palce is great thread in the water cooler forum, I say what I think...and sometimes that means peole will think I am being mean, etc..but this place could use a dose of realism as times...it can to saccharin and that make me want to go kick a puppy.

I guess you're right.

I just don't like the idea of ignoring someone after you get into one arugment with them, which I think some people will do.

Let's try something my little sister does in her third grade class.

If someone is mean to you or is being annoying to you, report it to the teacher. If the person doesn't stop, go to the principal. If that doesn't work, then just ignore him. Don't talk to him, don't read his posts, don't do anything. Pretend he's not there.

(That's for both sides, by the way. Not just the petitioners, but Goldie too)

add to that, ignore doesn't work as great as most people think it does : )
it just makes things less irritating.

If I'm at a loss for words, I usually just say something stupid. I didn't really know if you meant I can be a pain at times (which is understandable, cause I can be), or if my joke in the Favorite Posters thread was just met with a cold slap of truth, that I'm obviously not your favorite, but not necessarily an annoying person to you. I don't know... I just figured the way you said it meant that not only am I not your favorite, but I'm no where NEAR your favorite list at all. ... umm... yeah. :-#

Eagle, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have entertained that thread as it really is pointless. I do not like Goldie at all. Period. He has insulted me, and I cannot tell you how many threads he has (or attempted to) hijack with his pointless comments. That being said, the loss of one member will be significant so I am not in favor of banning anybody permanently.
