He didn't start an arguement, he added his opinion to your comment, just like you did to Libs' comment. If you don't like me why don't you just ban me? I know you want to. Why else would you have thrown the "as usual" part of your statement. I didn't ask for his opinion, especially if it was going to be mean-spirited. And Libs didn't ask for your opinion. Yet you gave it. Don't be hypocritical and think that you can respond to anyone and someone else can't respond to you in return. You didn't respond to the first two sentences of my post.
And now you're avoiding the question at hand because you know that you're wrong about it.
But, to answer the rest of your post, I never said I didn't like you. I never said I wanted you banned. Your assumption that "I want to" is dead wrong. I threw the "as usual" part in because, well... it was "as usual."

What if I know I'm wrong but still don't care that I'm wrong? It's not like this board is all that important to anyone's life. It's just one hobby among many, as it should be. It's not like school where being wrong results in a bad/unsatisfactory grade, something that does matter. And why wouldn't you want me banned? It's not like it would be any skin off your back (to use a cliche).

My writing wasn't mean-spirited or hateful towards a racial group or anything like that. Yeah, but I was commenting on: Quote: That's what writing can be about. Generating a reaction in your readers. Whether it's bad or good is beside the point really. And a thread like that one would definitely generate lots and lots of reaction, heh. In fact, writing a book with that title would perhaps generate enough controversy to sell alot of copies, which would be successful by the definition I proposed earlier (which, in turn, was told to me in a Journalism class by a professor who had worked for The New York Times for 22 years before becoming a professor). I could also be successful if I become a drug lord. Doesn't mean I should do that. Or is nothing sacred enough when it's about success? I don't care what you do to become successful as long as you don't interfere with my life. So go ahead and become a drug lord Maybe Hollywood would make a movie about you as the real Tony Montana.
I could also earn money if I assassinate you. I'm sure some members of the forum would pay me

Joe, his reply didn't really seem mean-spirited to me. This argument is just distracting at this point and not doing anything positive for the thread or anyone reading it. Hito decided to end the debate, so could you just let it go as nothing will come of it? It's giving you something to do isn't it? That's positive. It created a reaction. That's positive. That's what writing can be about. Generating a reaction in your readers. Whether it's bad or good is beside the point really. Well, you've often acted as if you were trying to get a reaction out of someone, so it doesn't surprise me to hear you admit that's your motive. I don't think people really appreciate it though, and I don't think simply getting a reaction is positive. Now you know and can act accordingly
I think this could translate to: "you would be wise to Ignore Me!"

Interpret as you will. I don't care.

Split posts from the point the debate went entirely off topic. I'll put this in the site I guess.

And where exactly is the threat?

In the Twilight Zone everything can be perceived as a threat. And don't even get me started on what happens if we begin hearing "Tales from the Crypt." The Cryptkeeper creeps me out.

If he continues with something like Superman Returns 2...who knows?
