Yay! Someone else! And an admin, no less.
Either way, I'm not going to be here much until it gets sorted out. I understand you guys do the best you can, and I appreciate it immensley. This place rules. But this little hiccup has made it virutally impossible for me to post. Infact, I just copied this post incase I get logged out after hitting submit.
Also, the new post notification disappears without me reading the post. It makes it impossible to follow new posts. I'm sure that's a part of the same problem, but just incase it isn't...

Im happy to just be able to respond in this thread.
And stupid me put an ü in my screen name which isn't on my keyboard. So I have to jump through hoops just to log back in.

I told you about this two weeks ago in the IE vs. Firefox thread. I told you I had to go back to using IE because Firefox was making me log in repeatedly. Yet you didn't listen to me!

Andaroo,
Multiple users on this site also use firefox with no problems, including myself. Your error and his are not related, other than artificially. His problems sprouted up from our database issues, while yours have been occuring well before the database went coo coo for coco puffs.
I am not a computer genious, and I don't pretend to be. I help with anything I know, but much like makeshift's problem, I am simply at a loss and don't know what to say.
If it isn't a cache problem that re-loading the browser won't fix, then it is out of my realm and beyond me.

I use firefox and ever since about 4 or 5 days ago I have to log on each time I visit. Yes I tried deleting the cookies and clearing the cache. I figured it was some problem caused when you guys adjusted something and would be fixed soon. But now I see others have the same thing.

OK just tried it. It appears to work fine for IE.
Wow using IE felt like going back in time 3 years in terms of software quality.

i'm sure wokj is not that important to you ....
but the outside chance that it is, you can always look into seeing if reinstalling firefox helps ... in the meantime, i'll try to get down to the bottom of what changes were made during the previous update.

Is there anyway it could be Google Accelerator or Fasterfox? I installed both of them during the downtime a couple of days ago.

Personally I use no extensions/mods of any kind on firefox, not even the google toolbar for now.

I have the same problem, since about 4 or 5 days now I have to log in all the time, where as before it never happened. And I use firefox, but it hasn't had a update in like a month or so, and the login was working fine then.

Same as the rest, about 4/5 days ago I started having the login troubles with firefox. I stay logged in to post and all, but everytime i return to the forums and stuff i'm not logged in...then i log in (my info is saved right there at the top, so all i have to do is click the button) and it takes me to the forum portal where I am again not logged in...and there i have to type it out, too. after that its fine until i close the window/tab and come back.

Well it happened again and when I switched over to IE i had to login there too, so it's happening on both.

And now after cleaning my cache, it's gotten worse. Everytime I leave the forum I have to login now and it's the same in IE.

I'm waiting for eagle to come back. I'll be having a long discussion with him about the forum (in light of recent happenings).
In the meantime, Hopefully the issue can be cleared up like it did for some people.
