I don't get the joke... If I violated a rule, let me know. If it is a joke, please let me in on it. However, I can't respond or joke back when you randomly lock threads as a form of humor.

It's hardly the deepest thread, but it took me 3 days and 2 calculators to figure out the exact date I would reach 100,000. I would appreciate if it was reopened so everybody may resume celebrating the upcoming day.

And also the elderly celebrity death one??? What was that violating? Or was that humor? I know my humor is fairly esoteric, but you've got me beat by a mile!

Why is it still locked?

I have a theory... I'm beginning to suspect that Mr. Scott is a double account of baba's. It's his way of torturing me under disguise. I mean hating bubbles? Not wishing elderly celebrities to die? Not interested in my 100,000 post mark? This can not be an actual real person - it has to be baba #2.

I can't believe we fell for it this long. Since day #1 he has been attempting to annoy me by placing bizarre tags above my avatar and even banning me as a last resort when I showed him who had the upper hand here. Now that he can no longer match wits with me, he must hide behind a secret identity.

About that other thread about elderly celebrities. Yes, I do appreciate jokes, but looking foward to the elderly dying is no laughing matter. Death is not funny.

I disagree... death can most certainly be funny, and has long been a topic of many comedians! Joking about what we fear or the unknown can be healthy. Nobody was advocating killing those celebrities... it was a thread created with tongue firmly planted in cheek. When we say we wish Betty White would be struck by a comet, we're not really sitting around praying for it to happen. It's a joke.

Also, I have nothing against you either... I just think you don't understand the tone of the water cooler. It is soooo much different than the movies/box office sections. I don't believe you hung out here much until lately. When you are locking threads that Krem is participating in, it should be a sign that everything is more than likely ok.

I have more plans for the thread and would like to see it through. I create maybe 1-2 threads a month (go back and have a look for yourself).

You've given me no reason why it was locked whatsoever other than you wanted to tell a joke and then lock it. That's not really fair to me, is it?

Joke or no joke. Viciousness is not against the rules. I don't think anything should get locked unless it actually breaks a rule, and even then if no one cares, just let a thread die. I don't think language and thought should be micromanaged, especially when its set against someone outside of the site (celbrity, etc) and not as a flame towards someone else who frequents worldofkj.

My biggest beef in this whole thing is the lack of communication from Mr. Scott.

He refuses to answer my PM or posts in the public forum as to why my thread was locked, or when it will be unlocked. I think a key quality of a good admin is communication with its forum members. This clearly is not a skill that Scott possesses. I am sure he is a great guy, but people skills are definitely not his forte. Thus, he may not be the best admin.

My thread wasn't deep, but I did put thought into it. It took me some time to pinpoint the exact date I would reach 100,000. I was also planning on figuring other people's dates further on in the thread. I can understand the argument that it was a stupid idea, but it was hardly a lockable thread, IMO. If it was stupid, it'll die on its own. I do not create many threads, so it's not like I spam the forum.

But, the bottom line is the lack of answers, the lack of communication, and the treatment that Scott has shown to me is hardly traits of a good admin. I don't think my wanting to know why it was unlocked or request to unlock it is an unreasonable one.

bABA was right when he said the new admins need some time to get used to being admins. Perhaps one of the first things Mr. Scott V. can touch up on are his people skills, and shut Tony up by unlocking the damn thread.

Also I want to know why the other admins (or Watercooler) haven't unlocked the thread? Because at my website, I have full access to all those things and so do the other admins.

Surely another admin can overule?
