This forum is very laid back. It allows for a lot of freedom of expression and to an extent, a bit of spamming as well. Due to this, there is possibility for a lot of gray area.

Its one of the reasons why the admins do not administer a lot of bannings because usually, it comes off as unfair and on many situations, one might even argue that the mods/admins themselves should have pulled their weight and instead, its the members bearing the brunt of the solution.

Lately, the forums been going a little out of control, espicially in 3 sections:
Cinemania
Watercooler
Games Forum

People have been either spamming in the forums, coming in and purposely being annoying or just engaged in an activity that is hurting it (consiously or unconsiously). This has got to stop. A few people just left the boards. Others threaten to leave and while personally, I have no sympathy for anyone who gives me ultimatums on "do this or I leave", this time around, I sort of feel the same way too.

MODS AND BANNINGS
For reasons explained above, no one is getting warned or banned over this. However, this cannot continue so instead, I'd like to let everyone know that the mods will be on higher than usual alert. Spamming, random baiting will be dealt with more swiftly.

I personally don't care why you come to the boards and i personally don't care if you just htink its a forum and you'll behave the way you want. Don't force the mods to behave the way they want as well. The mods will be using their own descretion on these subjects.

1) Cinemania:

I do not want to enforce a 3 threads/person/day type thing so please, self mod yourself, or the mods will do it for you. Do not create multiple threads for things that can be combined into one. If you have 6 pieces of news, choose the ones that are more relevant and post tose. I do not want to create a new news/rumors section. However, when you create a million threads a day, you push down all the active discussion from the previous day (all created by you again) down and kill it. Again, I don't care if the forum members together end up creating a 100 relevant threads in a day. But if you're just one person, please ... quit it!!

2) Water Cooler
People are allowed to spam a bit there. But again, its being overdone. Stop baiting others. Stop getting into flame wars just for the sole purpose of your own personal entertainment. STOP ASKING people to LEAVE the forum. Its the most serious offense you can do here.

c) Games Forum
This is a sensitive matter for me. Its a closely knit clique. Everyone respects each other in there and is very accepting of people coming in. I'm bias about this but I enjoy that forum more than any other. Do not COME IN THERE for the soul purpose of baiting people. DO NOT come in there to pass stupid idiotic statements like "Halo will do only 70% rating" or "xbox sucks" and then walk away. If you wish to participate in discussion, do not come pass a ridiculous statement. Back it up. Put some weight to it. Or please stay away. If not, you've got 2 admins here that frequent that forum and one mod. They won't be very linient with that attitude.

MEMBERS ASKING FOR BANNING
You guys need to cool it as well!! You can't just IM or PM me saying 'ban this or that' just because you don't like their attitude. Because there are others that feel the same way about you too. Give me coherent reasons, tell me how its possible to ban them over someone else when it looks like everyones acting teh same way. Thats what we do at the mod forum.

This is a global announcement. I'm expecting everyone to have read this in full. If the behavior continues, the mods will send you warnings. If people still act the same way, the warnings may turn to bannings.

The 3 forums stated above had specific issues. Ofcourse, whats said in there sort of applies to all other forums as well.

If there are certain pointless threads in the BO forum, please send the links over to a mod and they'll take care of it.
