Say it ain't so
Can't say I'd be a fan of the friend/foe feature, Roo laid out the problem pretty well.

I actually don't see the problem at all. Not sure how it can become a popularity contest when it's a personal thing. Also, people choose who to speak to now as well, and can ignore whomever they want, and friend/foe feature is just a tool that make that literally happen.
And even if it does become popularity contest, so what...afterall, this is WoKJ, site that had how many poster awards now?
I personally wouldn't use the feature, but would like to have it.

Well I'm like you Nebs I wouldn't use it, but beyond that its opening up a can of worms I wouldn't like to deal with.

As an admin it would irresponsible of you to even think about using this feature.

Well, anything can cause arguments. Especially here with movies...box office clubs, reviews, BKB, and so on and on. But still, nevermind that now, I'm not sure how would this feature be one of the causes? It's a private thing, people wont know if they are on someone else's list...well, unless people start posting about who's on their lists, but not sure why would they do that, unless they want to bait. And we can always delete such posts, deeming them spam. ;-)

Yeah, but if the mods were so active we would never have to implement the foe thing.

I've always thought an ignore feature would be the worst thing that could happen. It'd just throw some threads out of whack and some people wouldn't know what the heck others are talking about. It's all dumb.
But yeeesss, rainbow?!?!?!

If you do institute an ignore feature, can you please do it before the HP book release.
