To all: you may have noticed that I kept using quotes with the word punishment. The reason for that is that nobody is getting banned or tempbanned; all that I am asking of Maverikk and Snrub is to modify their behavior so that it doesn't antagonize the forums again.
Bans dont work well for the person(s) that is being banned yes, but they work well for the overall community because they get rid of a person(s) that is being a problem and not willing to fix that problem. I dont like keeping members that flame and argue for being insulted by another person, there are better ways to deal with it. I dont go around flaming people when ever they anger or insult me, and I dont think its right for people to do it at all no matter what the circumstances, there can not be different rulings for every single issue there must be a concrete establishment. Different rullings for broken rules that are only a little different from another situatiuon wont work and overall it is a big waste of time. rule breaking should never be tolerated ever, warnings can be put down. I support giving people more than one warning I say two to three works best but after than I say let the banning commence.
You say this is an administrative issue, if so then why make this thread public? You dont want to hear what others think of the situation? Im telling you what I think, you were soft on both of them. You guys say you have warned both more than once and I know you have. So why are they receiving there 100th warning instead of a ban?
Didnt you guys try that already?

BJ, the reason I made this thread public is because I want to hear what others are saying. As one of the better pages in the universe puts it "you have a right to your opinion and i can respect that."
You have to remember that while the issue has been around for a while, Scott and I have only been mods for very little. It's hard to pick up from the old stuff when we're not yet familiar with the situation completely.
So consider this as an amnesty, all you past offenders.

Expect a war to brew. I still don't this result is fair Krem. There maybe a lot of "between-the-sheet" action going on!

First things first, I realise this is probably pretty aggravating for you, Krem. But know that I love you deeply.
Having said that, let's say I don't like posters who throw manic hissy fits and randomly attack other members who disagree with them - but Maverikk continues to do it anyway. Every time he makes a post that reeks of superiority and arrogance, he is in effect baiting me, isn't he? I don't see why I should have to alter my posting behaviour to accomodate one oversensitive, egomaniacal poster when he refuses to stop acting like such a child to everyone else.
I had suspicions that the comment I made in the Mr Scott thread would raise his ire, but did it really warrant a foul mouthed tirade in several unrelated threads? And for that matter, why are his insults "another story"? The guy spent hours attacking me, my gender and my sex life - as well as numerous other posters - because of one jokey post in a thread? How can such a remark be grounds for such erratic behaviour? How the heck can calling someone a fucking retarded loser be justified by a lighthearted remark about taking the internet too seriously?

And you should've stopped at that.
Like I said, Maverikk's responses were not warranted and I already communicated to him that tyope of stuff will not be tolerated in the future.
As for the scenario you proposed, I'll be a good politician: I do not answer to hypothetical questions

Well said.
Anyhow, I think the biggest problem here is that Krem is fairly new to being on the other side of it, which is understandable.
But, Krem, I just hope you understand where some of us are coming from. I (and Snrub) witness this behavior over and over again. You just have to understand that it becomes increasingly frustrating with each new battle that we watch - whether it be against loyal, fettastic, snrub, me, Kypade, baumer, Michael, dolce, torrino, etc...
To see a new battle occur and it be treated like it is the first time, is really frustrating for us that have been through it a million times before. For me being on the other side of things and having to deal with it as a mod (at BOM), it was really tiresome years ago. Picture what you are going through now times a hundred, and perhaps you'll understand why a few of us are frustrated that the punishments do not appear to be even.
I think constant switching of admins and mods doesn't help the situation, and I truly hope you (Krem) stick around for a long time. It will definitely go a long way to cutting down repeat behavior on either side of the coin.
Anyhow, I just wanted to add to the whole thing that I feel Snrub is one of the finest members we have at KJ, and I along with many others support him 202%, even though he is a dipshit most of the time.

Mav's behaviour offends me and I feel compelled to comment on it. When someone's acting like a cock, am I not allowed to say so? If commenting on someone's behaviour is perceived as bating, how the hell do you call people out when they're acting like cocks?

ALright, I am locking this thread. At this point it's only going to get worse from here. If anyone has something to communicate, you are welcome to use the PM feature.
Snrub, don't drink and post.
