Because when you send PM, the person you're sending to is supposed to get an email message reminder, unless he/she had it disabled in the profile. That's why you saw the error message. Whenever someone is triggered to receive an email due to an action from you, you get that message.

I really wish the administrators would fix this problem. It has been going on forever, and it is personally highly annoying. And it's something that shouldn't be happening with a board. Yeah, it's the people's faults for "subscribing" the thread, but really, the error shouldn't even occur if a person does suscribe a thread. It's a regular forum option that other forums have with no problems. Either fix the subscribing so it works, or get rid of the subscribing if you don't want it.

Well I happen to agree with you Mike, but I think a lot of it has to do with people subscribing to threads when they know they shouldn't be. The thing is people do things just because it is not cool, hence the recent outbreak of subscriptions. For example, who subscribed to "Ye Olde Pube"???

It's almost every thread now, and it only become that way after people started pointing it out. So obviously they're doing it on purpose.
