Re: Favorite film of 2010s Rd 2 - Toy Story 3 vs Arrival Round 2 match-ups are much tougher decisions....!
These two are so wildly different. But I might go with Arrival for brilliantly adapting a brilliant short story.... as well as its score, sound design, cinematography, visual aesthetic, Amy Adams, and for being a creative, heart-tugging, memorable original sci-fi.
Toy Story 3 on the other hand, while treading in similar thematic waters as its predecessors, has a couple moments toward the end that made me sob.... so beautiful, tender, nostalgic...
I don’t know how to vote yet, but leaning towards aliens.

I’d be curious to see how it would’ve gone with Arrival v. Interstellar; and Toy Story 3 v. Mad Max Fury Road in this round.... (though current match-ups are almost dead evens so can’t complain it’s not interesting)
