In the least surprising news, Alec Baldwin likely has allegations against him, but in a twist, he came out first and said he knows he has bullied and mistreated women and wants to own up to it and change what he feels is a behavior he grew up with.

Kudos for coming out with it before allegations are thrown at him, although he still blames the time he grew up in and the culture. Sorry, but things have changed, especially in the last few years. There's no reason to not adapt and grow. You were on a hit sitcom for seven years led by a female performer/writer. You shouldn't still have this feeling that women are inferior to you.

I get it, I know older people tend to be more racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. But it's on the person individually to realize they live in a world where that shit doesn't fly any more.

Lots of these older men (born before the 80's) in pre-internet Hollywood are misogynistic and/or homophobic. With the absence of the internet, these powerful people in the industry controlled the flow of information and built themselves and their products a good image. People unquestioningly idolized them (I think Donald Trump is a product of this Hollywood image-building.) Now we have finally come to an awakening of this old Hollywood mirage.

Alec Baldwin is/was good looking and charming, so he can say he has treated women in a sexist way and probably nobody will come forward to kill his career. In all of this, we still need to remember that women love attention, especially from movie star studs. I guess it is good that he is owning up, but it's also pretty unnecessary. Sexism isn't illegal. Assault is. And culture is very important to how someone acts. Just like how women are all now entitled feminazis.

Amazing that Kevin Spacey's career got wiped in less than a week. Apparently he has 80 million in net worth that will allow him to fade into the shadows. Sad end to a good actor.

Also, shame on him as he just caused Robin Wright and the cast/ crew of HOC to lose their jobs. Apparently a biopic or some other item in development of course was cancelled and now that movie which is still scheduled for release is DOA.

I think the HOC cast and crew will be ok. THR said that they're just figuring out the logistics (some legal, as Spacey is a Producer on the show) to be able to move forward with additional episodes.

I wonder if it would be easiest to reframe Season 6 as a whole new spin-off series.
