Re: Rank your anticipation of Comic Book Films 2017 None. Guardians 2 should at least be fun. Wonder Woman looks good but it will probably suck. Solo Wolverine movies don't interest me. Spider Man has been beaten to death. Justice League looks awful. Thor 2 was awful, it's hard to get excited for Thor 3. Ghost in the Shell looks generic. I think Valerian will be pretty but lack substance.

Re: Rank your anticipation of Comic Book Films 2017 The third Thor intrigues me more than most Marvel products because it is directed by Taika Waititi. He previously made What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, both wonderful. I hope the Disney-Marvel machine does not obscure his humor and personality too much. The interaction of Thor, Loki, and Doctor Strange could also be quite fun.
Logan is my choice, though. I have a major soft spot for the X-Men franchise despite its fluctuations in quality over the years. This one appears very fresh and intense.

Justice is directed by Hack Synder. It's going to suck.
I don't think Spider-Man seems good despite the numerous videos of how 'cute' the cast is on social media.
Valerian looks ridiculous but could be entertaining.
The rest seem fine. The only ones I'm excited for are Guardians and Logan.

Re: Rank your anticipation of Comic Book Films 2017 Honestly, who cares who the directs Marvel films? None of them inhabit any differing styles that their directors may give them. The projects were realised by Marvel and then a hired-hand director was employed. Marvel oversee it all. The universe is more important to them than one film and one hot-shot director.
