 366 Movies in 366 Days
Anyone trying it this year? I've given a few half-hearted attempts over the past years, but as of now I'm going for it. And to make it harder on myself, I'm going for movies I've never seen before.
Should be fun, and I'll probably be out by April.

I remember going for 300 about 12 years ago( new and old films), i ended up with 272 and i haven't been close since. I average around 80 movies a year now.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
Does it have to be at least one film a day or just 366 over the entire year?

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
Back in the days of UMM, I could probably do 366.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
I mean I can get up to 230-240 movie with theatrical viewings alone, but to do 100+ at home as well is tough.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
I did 302 in 2015. In order to reach 365 I would have had to skip vacation, some work hours and devote less time to other pastimes.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
I'd struggle to get to 70. But TV binging and just being generally busy has ensured i dont see all that mant films.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
I've been watching at least 1 movie per day since May 5, 2013. Did the same in 2008/09 and sometimes before that.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
I always wonder what life someone leads when they say things like that. Like, where does their income come from? Do they have no social life? Do they have no children or family or friends or...anything. I mean, sure, I technically have enough time each day to watch one 90 minute movie, but do I? Nope. I have other things to do or I'm simply not in the mood. To watch a movie every single day takes determination or is rather sad.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
I just checked and I did 14 movies already this year. So I'm kind of on track. But I doubt I'll do 366.
EDIT: Scratch that, I only did a quick count on Letterboxd. Two of those are docu TV shows I binged (Making a Murderer, The Staircase). So it's 12 movies so far. But I'll probably watch one today also. So...

I know some people who watch an average of 3 movies a day and they still have somewhat of a social life. It just depends on what you priorize. And with 1 movie/day, there's not even a lot of that involved. I moved to a different place several hundred miles from the old one in November and still managed to uphold my daily movie watching. Doing that and not skipping the occasional day is, of course, a slight obsession.

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
There's a a difference between watching a movie in your living room and watching it on your phone on the go. I imagine people who watch a movie every single day do one on the go?

Re: 366 Movies in 366 Days
It's certainly possible to do, but to spare an average of 15 hours to it a week, you're ought to sacrifice some other things for it. Unless watching films is your job, which is the best job in the world, and it means you could probably watch a 500 films a year.
