 Free Attendance on your Birthday?
So I was chatting to my Chilean friend, and he said that in Chile you get 1 free admission for your birthday. You just show your ID card and they let you in for free.
Does anybody else have this in their country?
I've never heard of anything like this before. It certainly doesn't happen in the UK or US. He said that it's per cinema chain, so he used to visit all 4 cinema chains on his birthday and watch 4 movies, all for free!
This is kind of cool that the Chilean government value birthdays so much that they allow their citizens free admissions on that day, but also kind of rare, I imagine.

I doubt that has anything to do with the government. And no. Nothing similar here.

I think AMC does a free drink for your birthday, and Harkins does a free popcorn.

I eat for free at a Brazilian steakhouse and get a free tequila shot. Nothing more brazilian than a tequila shot. But no, that im aware of no movie chain does that in Mexico but a lot of restaurants do.

Re: Free Attendance on your Birthday?
The theaters here offer practically nothing besides the rewards program for buying a lot of food (or tons of movie tickets).
