Re: Despicable Me 2 Teaser Poster I haven't seen the first one yet. Though those minions totally remind me of Toy Story aliens. Visually at least, I don't know how much they're used in the movie, but I'm guessing more than underused aliens in TS. The Minion marketing has been used for DM extensively. I guess they make a big impression.

I don't know why they're making a DM2 either than MONIEZ.
Maybe they can surprise like Blue Sky did with IA3. It's not like anyone is taking them seriously yet.

This is what happened to Kung Fu Panda 2. He was in so many little specials and the character didn't get a chance to be missed.

The minions are easily the most marketable part of the film. It's a sequel to Despicable Me. Cute and surprisingly clever as that movie was, it didn't really demand a sequel, so I haven't been expecting a whole lot on the quality side of the equation.
