 De Niro, Purcell & Strahovski join the Statham/Owen actioner "Clive Owen will star opposite Jason Statham in action-thriller The Killer Elite, which director Gary McKendry will start shooting next month in Australia.
The film, based on Ranulph Fiennes' novel "The Feather Men," follows a group of former British special forces members being hunted by a team of assassins led by Statham's character, a former Navy Seal.

I wonder, though, if it will be more The Bourne Identity/The International or Crank/Shoot 'Em Up in tone. I hope it's the former.

I just hope they keep the budget low. Owen desperately needs a hit at this point.

And, fuck me, it's out this year! Fall looked so poor at least I'll have this-and hopefully it delivers, not sure about budget and whatnot but Open Road distribution doesn't inspire confidence at all.
