“With those records?” Scorsese asked me, his voice rising, at the premiere last night for his new DiCaprio collaboration, “Shutter Island.” “Frank will do the singing. But we’re waiting for a finished script.”
So while he’s waiting, Scorsese’s next film will likely take a break from DiCaprio. “The Invention of Huge Cabret” is lighter fare for Scorsese, about a 12-year-old boy who lives in Paris and meets famous French silent film director and magician George Méliès. How many movies together is this now? DiCaprio's next film is still likely the Viking film directed by Mel Gibson.

Re: DiCaprio to play Frank Sinatra, Scorsese directing I'm not a fan of this idea. Other actors have sang in their roles. I don't see why they can't have a singer involved with this. Joaquin Phoenix sang for Walk the Line.
There have been roles where the actors don't sing, so who knows. But if you're going to play a boxer (Ali, Million Dollar Baby, Rocky), learn how to box, etc.

Re: DiCaprio to play Frank Sinatra, Scorsese directing I'm not fussed if he doesnt sing - but I dont think he is right for the role. Physically, Ray Liotta looks more like Sinatra and would be a better fit (plus he is a Scorsese alumni).
I'd love if Scorsese did this next instead of the kids film but what can you do

I think DiCaprio could pull it off, he would just have to loose weight and black hair.
