 Retards in movies rule!!
Movies with retards and midgets are always a must see for me. I dont know why, I guess they are just interesting  . Here are my favorite retards
Warren from "Theres Something about Mary". Just love his "Franks and Beans" quote
Karl from "Sling Blade". People call it a kaiser blade, I call it a Sling Blade
Raymond from "Rain Man". Smart and retarded at the same time.
Spinner from "Death to Smoochy". Be right back Smoochy I have to take a dump!
Sam from "I am Sam". "I love beatle music"
and
Im not a smaaart man

Nah I hate politically correct terms. Back at home, I lived next door to a nursery home that housed retards. One of the retards who I occasionally drop to work when I was younger didnt even mind the term retard and he hates the term mentally challanged since its almost giving them a second class citizenship. Anyhow its ok to refer to the mentally challenged as retards

P.S. Rainman ruled. I just bought the movie on dvd and saw it for the first time like 2 weeks ago and I must say it amazed me. It was great and totaly oscar worthy.

I think the word is Autism. I fall into that category, and I am not retarded.

Autistic people are pretty awesome. We get quite a few autistic children at our camp, and they're just the most amazing children. We got a girl once who could recite the alphabet backwards flawlessly, as quickly as one could say it forwards. Pretty neat. You try doing that. It's damn hard.
PEACE, Mike

Retards dont just rule in general.
But i do like Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man, not because he is anut-job...but because his acting is superb.

"Making fun of ones race is a no no but making fun of ones mental state is ok"
*South Park impression off*

Uh, I was going to try to chip in some comment about how the use of disabled people in movies often has a humanist element of making someone in full capable abilities realize something about themselves, but this thread is beyond that already.
Can't lock it, not my forum, but I would have thought this thread fell off the front page by now. :???:

Now now humor lets people loosen up a bit and it doesnt mean its how they truely feel about the people thats being targetted. People in the forum are allowed to make fun of a person's death, religion, and race but somehow their condition is off limit? Not quite plus its a thread about praising the handicap performances but got just a little out of hand
BTW what do you think was the greatest performance
