Early Cannes Reviews Of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS Suck
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/show ... p?t=683873Apparently, this movie appears to be more star with Pitt than anything and not receiving a very good reception at the Cannes Film Festival.. Tarrantino should've made KILL BILL VOL 3 instead..

Bull.
I just read a usatoday article that was practically praising the film and quoting a host of critics who seemed to mostly like it but not gush over it.

I'm actually currently at the Cannes Film Festival - I saw it yesterday and it was a massive disappointment, IMO, and I'm a huge Tarantino-Pitt fan.

Thompsoncory's review at the bottom of this thread, even brief one says otherwise.. This movie is not going to do well at all

Not terrible, not great. Rather mixed. I'd expect something like 65% at RT.

I myself don't think it looks that good. But it should still do well at the Box Office. At least Kill Bill numbers. It's Tarantino and Pitt.

Re: Early Cannes Reviews Of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS Suck
Yeah reviews are not that great and Im a huge Tarantino fan.
I never liked the casting of Pitt in this and from the scenes Ive seen and some of the reviews, I think my instinct was correct.

Re: Early Cannes Reviews Of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS Suck
I don't care what reviews say, if it's tarintino, I'll be there a day before at midnight. I just haven't seen anything he's done to make me think he'd make a bad movie, so if it actually is, I will be disappointed.

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

How did you score that? I interned with a film studio throughout the duration of the festival and had a badge that admitted me to most screenings/red carpet affairs. I'll post my full thoughts on the film soon, I didn't have a chance to when I initially posted that. My feelings haven't changed though and, without some heavy editing on Tarantino's part, this will not succeed stateside.

Re: Early Cannes Reviews Of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS Suck
Tarantino is really overrated.
He has some good films, but he's making more and more bad movies as time goes on.
