Willis and Stallone In Bastards?

"I wouldn't put a ton of stock into this rumor, but with the otherwise complete lack of info about the project, the idea that QT has written parts for Bruce Willis & Sylvester Stallone in Inglorious Bastards is as good as I can do right now. Willis I can understand, but Stallone? "

----------

If, by some twist of fate, it came true, then i might have a renewed liking for Mr. Tarantino. Although, now, i believe Adam Sandler and Michael Maden are going to star :???:

Tarentino likes to use has-beens in movies. It sure helped John Travolta's career and sure revived Uma Thurman's. He also helped helped David Carradine and Pam Grier secure best acting awards whn they were forgotten. I cant see how he not use Stallone or Willis who are way past their prime and Tarentino loves taking credit for peoples comebacks

Far better than the original. Tom Jane fit the role so well also.

How am I insulting? Tarentino does use has-beens for his movies and revive their careers? Look at how John Travolta's career was back in the early 90s. He made straight to video movies after Look Whos Talking. And it was after Pulp Fiction that his career skyrocketed again. Pam Greer enjoyed a very small comeback after she did Jackie Brown but was brought back down to C-list actress after some bad choices like Bones and Ghost of Mars. David Carradine hasnt been heard of since his Kung-fu days and now he enjoys a little stay for performance in Kill Bill. And Uma Thurman was going nowhere when she became Mrs Ethan Hawke. The point is I wasnt using the thread to be insulting because its a fact that Travolta loves uses washed-up stars so he can credit himself for reviving his career which is why he chose Stallone and Willis

Yeh i know he uses people thats careers arent the best, but Sly's career is at a different type of 'all time high'. Not in a valley at all.

About 6 years ago there was a rumor about a Tarantino war movie starring Schwarzenegger and Stallone. I guess this is just the same rumor rehashed and modified a bit, since Arnold isn't taking on roles right now.

I heard a rumour that Sly and Arnie would do a film about them both being restraunt owners across the street from one another, and competition would lead to things 'not going as smoothly as possible'

Would rule, but sadly, never will.

Tarintino does not try to ressurect people's careers he selects people he thinks will be the best for the role. The reason why he picks actors that had their prime in the 70s and 80s is because that is when he was observing films the most and ideas popped into his head about casting. It just so happens Tarintino does have somewhat of a golden touch and when people are in the movie, they are good, critically accailmed and succesful.

ROID isnt saying that Tarantino intentionally picks has-beens, he just happens to pick them because they are right for the role....
