Ill no doubt see this in cinemas, but i must say it just looks weird.....Its got CGI yes, but im not sure if im going to like this....the only plus so far is that Rachel Weisz is in it.
I loaded the trailer, and i have no idea what the story is, probably because it is in French, BUT all the trailer seems to do is show you CGI effects from the film.....which in any case, will leave nothing to wow you when you actually see the movie.
So im not sure about his one. It could be great...but im skeptical.

The trailer does give a good idea of the films contents. But I wouldn't say it goes indepth. The text should have read something like this:
Hell Wants Him
Heaven Won't Take Him
Earth Needs Him

Based on the DC/Vertigo comic book Hellblazer and written by Kevin Brodbin, Mark Bomback and Frank Capello, Constantine tells the story of irreverent supernatural detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), who has literally been to hell and back. When Constantine teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister (also played by Weisz), their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldy events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.

Cheers for that.
Sounds like a basic story with a supernatural spin on things. nothin much pulling me to watch this one, but i will anyway, i suppose.

The trailer was with Blade Trinity and White Noise and it blew me away, i think it looks fantastic.
And hopefully it will open well over $20M, so that loads of people see the HOUSE OF WAX trailer!

I am not having high expectations. I've heard awful, awful things so I'm no too excited, hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised... I'll see it in theatres most likely though.

you bet!! to be fair, tho', the only other film i've ever seen was spiceworld...
j/k. i'm a big fan of angel (the buffy spin-off), and when a film even remotely like it turns up, i get obscenely + disproportionately excited about it.
mind you, the last two times that happened involved van helsing and hellboy, and my disappointment ranged from much (van helsing) to some (hellboy). i've got high hopes for constantine, because it doesn't have hell (or anything like it) in the title... but realistically, i think i've set myself up for a bit of a let-down (having said which, i couldn't get over how cool the trailer looked...)
generally speaking, the films that turn out to be my favourites are the ones that completely surprise me. when i spend ages looking forward to something (lemony snicket, for instance, or van helsing) it usually turns out to be pretty forgettable. i just hope the same isn't true of hitch hikers [-o<

I've had several friends surprise me with saying they want to see Constantine, and they are not movie geeks like we are, they just go by the ads and other regular stuff like that.
One is a married mother of 2 who normally doesn't watch horror movies, yet she said she can't wait for Constantine, that it looks like it "rocks" from the ads. Makes me think this movie has a chance to broaden appeal to more than the usual horror fans.
We'll see I guess, in one or two days, should be interesting.
