A tie between Batman and Spider-Man. I have a felling Iron Man will join them when IM2 is released.

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
The only two I have ever really felt some sort of affinity towards are Batman and X-Men. Though my fondness for X-Men came starting with X2. I was never into the comic/cartoon though I'd occasionally watch the batman cartoons on saturday mornings.
I know I'm really drawn to the Batman series, especially the reboot, because of it's intensely dark nature.
And I know I was drawn to X-Men because of the strong gay/society/acceptance undertones present in X2/X3

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
Every one of the big franchises is tainted by some form of garbage but since Batman has two really good films and two pretty good ones I'd have to put it above the rest of the batch.

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
Damn, nobody mentioned Hellboy. I know there are only two Hellboy movies so far, but it's the only franchise there without at least one movie that sucks.

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
here are my grades for the franchises, which I get from combining the grades of each installment.
1. Spider-man (A-, A+, B) A- 2. X-Men (B+, A-, B-) B+ 3. Superman (A-, B+, C+, D, A-) B- / B 4. Batman (B+, B, C, D-, A-, A+) B- / B (wow, Schumaker really brought this down) 5. Fantastic Four (F, C-) D
funny, Batman is my favorite current franchise, but its awfulness early on really hurts it overall)

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
X-Men has been the best quality wise so far so I voted for it.
Then Batman and Superman would be tied. Batman has had so much going for it, and Superman really is such an interesting franchise, and had Donner not been fired, the what could have been dream never fades. Spiderman has always been mediocre to me, but thats the only other franchise I'd really recognize.
Xmen- A X2- A+ X3- B+
Batman- A- Batman Returns- A+ Batman Forever- B+ Batman and Robin- C- (For what its worth, its paper thin, but hysterical at times) Batman Begins- A- The Dark Knight- A
Superman- A Superman II- A+ Superman III- B Superman IV- C (So much heart, not enough budget, and reeve was still good) Superman Returns- A-
Spiderman- B+ Spiderman 2- B Spiderman 3- C

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
However, The Incredibles is my favorite superhero film. I am watching a few scenes of it on the Disney Channel, and it traps me everytime into watching more and more of it. The Dark Knight did give it a run for its money, and is easily my second favorite.
Oh Syndrome just made his appearance! "I am your biggest fan."

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
By the way The Incredibles captures the comic book feel than any other film, and isn't corny or campy like them, amazing! It does feel more Marvel than DC in its tones, but it does have splashes of Superman in it.

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
I voted Batman but it's really just because of BB and TDK. X-Men was close until X3 came along and completely destroyed that franchise for me.
Batman: B- Batman Returns: B Batman Forever: C- Batman and Robin: D Batman Begins: B+ The Dark Knight: A
Spider-Man: B- Spider-Man 2: B- Spider-Man 3: C-
Superman: C Superman 2: C Superman 3: Didn't see Superman 4: Didn't see Superman Returns: C+
X-Men: B X2: B+ X3: D
Fantastic Four: D Fantastic Four 2: F
Hellboy: C+ Hellboy 2: Didn't see
Blade: B- Blade 2: B- Blade 3: D

 Re: Favorite Superhero Franchise
Spiderman based off the whole franchise so far. but based off one movie it's The Dark Knight the whole way. when the next Batman movie is released and if it's good, it might be Batman but right now it's Spiderman.
