Post Cursed is the best horror movie in a long time
Hi i attended the screening of Cursed about a month ago and it was everything you want in a horror movie. When I got to the theater I was thinking it sucked but it has slowly changed my mind. I would even say that its a couple of steps up from the Scream trilogy. So you may ask if its better than Nightmare on Elm Street. It sure is!

The Werewolf CGI puts the werewolf CGI from Van Helsing to shame but you don't get to see the Werewolves till 30 minutes into the movie. You even get to see them biting, jumping, walking and attacking. Yes, its that real looking. The audience was screaming through their seats to how frightening the movie is. If you loved Scream and a big horror fan, you will guarantee to love Cursed. Even if you don't horror, you will love the top notch acting from Christina Ricci and Jesse Hudson. Its a required view for all audience

OK, So allow me, BKB to address the 1st Major Issue with this movie: Was the screening you saw R Rated or PG-13 and if it was PG-13, How does the Gore factor play into this with a PG-13 Werewolf movie and all??? :-k Come on, be honest.. Are Horror fans gonna have a fit over this or what??? :-k I still say to this day regardless if it's Dated now that The HOWLING was by and far the BEST when it came to slow, calculating Werewolf transformations with American Werewolf in London a close 2nd.. I thought that guy pulling that bullet out of his brain and then transforming like he did in that dark creepy atmosphere RULED.. How does CURSED compare??? :-k

MY GOODNESS PEOPLE. Do you folks treat all newcomers with such suspection?I would expect this kind of behavoir at CHUD and Aint it Cool News. If we cannot trust a stranger, who can we trust? In God we always trust and we should place our trust on our great president. As far as the movie attendance I went to, I'm very positive its rated. It is quite gruesome if you like guts spilling out from your stomach content. But you may ask youself if the PG-13 rating will have an affect on the quality of the movie? No because there is only 4 deaths in the movie, 2 of which are quite gruesome. The movie will still be quite effective with a PG-13 rating. I mean literally this lady that was seated close to me was shaken and shocked at what was shown on the screen

See you later folks, its time for me to spread my review to Yahoo and the Internet Movie Database

From what I've been hearing they are cutting a lot out of this movie, and I think its going to effect it quite alot. The filming was delayed for a whole year, and they had to reshoot half of the film, and replace a lot of the original actors. I'm still going to see it, but I don't think its going to be very good. And from the trailers I would have to say the CGI looks fake, and very cheesy.

A miracle. I agree with BKB. The Howling is the best werewolf film of all time, right in front of American Werewolf. The thing I love about The Howling is how completely and utterly dark it is. Not a single positive thing seems to happen in that entire movie. The final five minutes are stunning, too. What, is there something like three twist endings? How weird is it that the two best werewolf movies ever made were released in the same year?

:Drink: Fucking right.. The HOWLING RULED for it's time and the transformation FX are slow and prodding and take there time.. The whole movie itself was just dark and creepy and nothing positive about any of it whatsoever and was grim.. That's what sold this movie for me when I saw it which was like 13 or 14, but gave me nightmares..

PG-13 or not, I'm still seeing this. I absolutely adore Christina Ricci, and it looks damn good. I know stuff will be cut out, but oh well. It can't be that bad, I'm expecting a 6/10 (C+) with the PG-13 and possibly a 7/10 (B) when I see the R rated version.

Where the heck did you get the idea she liked it but said she hated to please the crowd? She compared the movie to a bad spanish soap with crappy CGI. Its only you who got the idea she liked the movie and no one else. Do you think by having a studio plant like this Michael Bay is God is going to make this movie any better?

*chuckles at the thought that the movie is better than Nightmare on Elm Street*

The trailer was decent, though the beginning was much better then the second half.

I like the scene in The Howling when the woman is going through the files and a huge paw comes into the frame to close the file drawer. The camera pans up, and the werewolf, fully revealed to the audience, pimp smacks the shit out of her upside her head.

Dante made a classic scene there. Anyone else would have went straight for the kill, but he went for the pimp smack.

The trailer for Cursed is pretty boring and confusing, its only redeeming quality is Christina Ricci.
