Which band would you hire to record the next 007 theme song?

Which band would you hire to record the next 007 theme song?
Or a solo recording artist, of course (title became too long).
I was always hoping they would hire Oasis, but it never came to be, and it's too late now. Noel Gallagher would still be a great choice, though. There is a song he's been playing live, tentatively titled "Freaky Teeth," which could be ideal, in my opinion.
I hope Skyfall's theme is superior to "Another Way to Die." I love Jack White, and I respect and enjoy Alicia Keys' music, but the blend just didn't come together right. Chaotic, a trait made even worse by the edit used for the opening credits.

I thought I was hearing rumors Adele was doing it for Skyfall. She was a) apparently in talks with the film's people, b) the director's top choice, and c) expected to have a new single due out around "the end of the year" (i.e. when Skyfall is out).

I did, too. It would be a nice coup, I s'pose. Could be the first Bond song since...the Duran Duran one? to be a legitimate U.S. chart hit. Could also be an effective homage to the distinct, retro Shirley Bassey sound of the early Bond theme songs.

"Die Another Day" wasn't especially well-liked but it did peak at #8 in the U.S., which isn't bad.

Ah. I had blocked the song and film from my memory.
I'm a big fan of the Chris Cornell song from Casino Royale. Not the type of cut which will become a chart sensation, not anymore at least, but he delivered, IMO.

Florence + the Machine could do a nice song for Bond I guess. But last two songs have been pure shit. I love the 90's songs and Madonna's Die Another Day.

I think it's a great song. But I don't think it's what a Bond song should be. I like it and listen to it every now and then but I never connect it with Bond. It's just a great Madonna song for me.
