I thought the coin toss scene from No Country for Old Men was a bit more memorable, but the bathhouse scene in Eastern Promises was fucking nuts.

I can't possibly imagine what scene(s) you could be referring to. AHoV had its fair share of jaw-droppers, but nothing even close to the Bathhouse scene - it's a conglomeration of Cronenberg brilliance - the brutal discharge of the slow burn build-up, the psycho-sexual melding of perverse violence and ghoulish intercourse, the blatant homo eroticism... it's like a thesis on Cronenberg's fetishes.

Oddly enough, my favourite film moment of 2006 was the naked hotel fight in Borat. If I didn't know any better I'd say my subconscious was trying to tell me something. This time next year, don't be surprised if my favourite film moment is that of two burly plumbers fucking in a gay porno flick.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the shipmast scene in Death Proof. As a whole I hated the movie, but that chase was insane.

I had forgotten about DEATH PROOF until I watched TERMINATOR today and then it made me think of the awesome action from the finale. That definitely makes the list.

A lot of scenes from There Will Be Blood. [baptism, the conversation between Daniel and his "half-brother" with the "...people" line, and of course, the end at the bowling alley]
