Making DOOM the 5th person on that shuttle instead of just sticking to the Goddamn Comic version really annoys me... See?? This is why SPIDERMAN is the BEST.. Because Sam Raimi practically rips the movies right out of the comics the way it should be.. Also, I don't care what anyone and I mean ANYONE says, I think The THING should be much much larger than what he is and that also sucks.. I mean, after watching that trailer and just before The THING is about to buckle that Semi, he tosses a person out of the way I guess and the laughable part of it is, is that the guy he tosses aside to prevent him from be struck by the Semi is as big as The THING is and it just looks so, well, WRONG... ](*,) According to MARVEL Encyclopedia, The THING IS Listed as weighing 500LBS... No way in that trailer does it suggest The THING even looks that big and he isn't.. The THING should've been CGI Tim Story..

If cgi Thing would've looked like cgi hulk, then it was the right choice not to do him in cgi

I know little about Fantastic Four. What is the Thing made out of? Wouldn't his higher body density shoot his weight up?

He's made out of Rock.. I guess in the comics, he towers over the others around him and that's what he should look like in the movie, not an average joe schmoe size..

Yeah, but HULK Looked the way he should've looked if you look through the Ultimate Versions of Marvel.. The HULK was freaking massive, unlike Lou Ferrigno in the TV Series that simply looked like a regular bodybuilder that growled alot and occasionally lifted up the backend of a truck.. That was fine for the 70's, but not by todays standards..

Look!
On July 28th 5 people will be changed forever 4 ever 1 will be bad 4 will be fantastic
vs.
On July 28th Five people will go into space One will return doomed The others will become fantastic...
It took me two minutes to write a better trailer intro. And mine is grammatically correct!
What did they get Prince to write the trailer text?

Looks great! Very much anticipating this movie. As far as the Thing goes, he's only 6 feet tall, and whenever his creator, Jack Kirby, drew him, he didn't tower over anybody. It was the same when John Byrne drew him. He was big and blocky, but not overly tall. That would just be some artist rendition that never made a mark on the character, not the character defining artists like Kirby and Byrne.
As far as Spider-Man and Sam Raimi not making any changes, that's not accurate. Peter Parker invented his web fluid and web shooters, it wasn't part of what happened to him after he was bit. He also never met Mary Jane until he was in college. She wasn't the girl next door that he grew up around. She was also much more of a party girl. They basically merged MJ and Peter's girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, and that's who the movie version is.
In the end, including Doom in the shuttle flight doesn't hurt the story. If they would have had to do his origins seperately, something would suffer from the time they would have needed to do that properly. Remember, Spider-Man is just one character, the FF are 4 that need developed. The X-Men are mutants, so they are born like that (or their powers manifest around puberty), and they don't have to take the time to show HOW they got their powers. From a storytelling POV, it does make sense to do all of their origins and character motivations at once.

Agreed Andaroo, your entro is better. Just doesn't seem like a lot of thought or care is going into this, simply the concept of "What can we do that is just good enough to make sure this project doesn't OBVIOUSLY suck" and then possible turn a profit." Corporate mentality with everyone yessing each other. blah.

I enjoyed the trailer. I thought the effects actually looked quite good despite the fact that there is 6 months until the movies release. Hopefully they will do some touch ups on The Thing. The size of him doesn't bother me, but it almost looks like he is wearing styraphome (sp?).

I h8 using abbrev. like that. Letters aren't there 4 nothing, people, sheesh. Is it 2 hard to type it out fully? ](*,)
The trailer was forgettable, and the little of it that was memorable was cheesy. Alba looks hot though.

They just found every good part in the movie and rolled it up in one trailer. Looks like a Power Ranger movie to me.
