Return of the Jedi holds its place by association alone. It's a terrible, terrible movie.
I think we can blame Garden State's placement on ChipMunky.

I think we can blame Garden State's placement on ChipMunky. It's also Shack's #3 of all time, so he holds equal blame.

Re: WORLD OF KJ'S 100 GREATEST MOVIES: #94-82
the scenes with Darth Vader, Luke and the Emperor will really nicely done in the ending of the film and the space battle is still fun to watch today, however the Ewoks almost killed it.
ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST was quite ground making for that time and it became a massive huge blockbuster hit as well. Still is quite a tad disturbing today.

Wonder when the first LOTR film will show up. Should be TTT, around #60 I'd say.

You should...it really is one of the best comedies ever made.
Taxi Driver, again, deserves much higher...glad to see it though.
One Flew Over is nice too.
edit -you = squee, should = see Airplane!

Goodfellas and The Departed will be the other Scorsese films on the list. The Departed could be in the top 20, Goodfellas in the 30-40 range.

Re: WORLD OF KJ'S 100 GREATEST MOVIES: #94-82
An important film but a film New Yorkers hate. It makes their city look like a hell hole. Three great films in a row. Quote: Actually didn't expect it to be this low. Thought it had more love around here. This movie hasn't been seen by to many unlike other films of that time. Quote: The '80s and '00s are killin'. My oh my. the 70's will strike back as well.
