Ya your Resident evil movies sucks ass and are the ultimate abomination of cinema. I think GEARS OF WAR will be much better movie because it has a much better director, a great script writer and the truth is that transformers cartoon had shit storylines but the movie was awesome due to action. GEARS OF WAR will be action packed and macho packed movie.

No man by that i meant the quality of the movie. Gears of War to me will be bigger than Doom because #1 at least GOW didn't had much of story so if they make it more cinematic and apocalyptic type the fans won't mind at all. If you read the script of GOW the monsters come from below the earth and are not creations of scientists or shit like that. Doom had a story but the movie shat on the original storyline of the doom games and gave them RE storylines. That is why the movie flopped because the fanbase didn't feel like supporting it. Plus DOOM had Universal which was having a terrible 2005. New Line on the other hand has a much much better marketing campaign and when they want to set up a franchise and want to deliver a big hit they do it. Wedding crashers in 2005 is the best example and even Rush hour 3 could do well this year.

Which it was. Indeed Resident Evil = Apocalypse Films for jackasses. As for the thread news, still can't see the point of an Escape from New York remake, GOF hard to say, the basic storyline doesn't have the potential the Doom game did so I don't mind if they fiddle with it.
