Because these 2 movies were up againist each other on tv Saturday night.

Even though I like the Tom Hanks movie alot, I went with Red October because of a great story by Tom Clancy and performances by Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn, Sam Neill, James Earl Jones, Joss Ackland, Richard Jordan, Peter Firth, Tim Curry, Courtney B. Vance, Stellan Skarsgard, Jeffrey Jones, Fred Thompson, Fred D Thompson, Daniel Davis, Tomas Arana.

On a side note, this series is suppose to have an interesting story about the change from Alec Baldwin in #1 to Harrison Ford for #2 and #3.
