Post Sold Out shows or Empty shows?
When you go to the theaters, what do you prefer? A sold out show, or an empty show?

For me, I love sold out shows. Always. It just makes it more fun when the theater is completely full, especially for comedies and horror movies. I hate being one of ten people in a theater. It's weird.

Sold Out Shows, but I want to be seated before everyone is crowded in. So I get a good seat, but I am with a crowd. I agree it feels to be in an empty theater it makes me feel the movie is horrible!

i like 90% sold out. I hate having to be told to move towards the centre so ppl can have seats together... If you come late either get a refund or separate and sit in single seats

One theater i go to has the best front row seats. They lean back and are far enough from the screen so it doesn't hurt your neck to look up. Our front row gets packed at that theater cause everyone likes the seats.

I like it 50-65 percent full. Enough room to spread out, but a nice crowd.

If in on my own > Empty shows, not even the janitor is welcome in my prescence!

If im with people > 50% - 75% full, so i can play off people, with jokes etc.

I don't mind either way, but I prefer it to be a small crowd whenever I see a movie. That way chances are, most of them are going to be quiet. The only exception really would be for any comedy, because being in a theater with a sold out crowd laughing, is a lot of fun. However, sometimes if you seem to be the only one in the theater who is laughing, it can be brutal (The Life Aquatic was one of these movies).

I don't have a preference either way, honestly. I mean, I agree that I don't want to see a good comedy in an empty theater (no fun in that at all) but aside form that, it doesn't really matter. Sometimes I don't mind big crowds, hearing all of the chatter and hype, gettign swept in the moment. Sometimes I don't mind having a theater to myself, allowing me to watch the movie and appreciate it without any interuptions.

The preferable % of people in the theatre when I go to see a movie is 1%. Just me, my friend, and my brother. Everyone else can go straight to hell.

I prefer it to be as empty as possible (20-30% is just fine).Luckily, I go during the day or to the twilight shows, so it's never that full. I don't like going at night since tickets are more expensive and there are way more people.
