XXX - Do you like Ice Cube taking over the lead form Vin Diesel. I think they should have paid Vin the $ to star again in the movie.

Ice Cube : Bad casting. Ice Cube is too chubby for the role i think, but we'll see what happens come May. I, however i would've preffered Vin diesel reprising his role in it.

Well, it's not like they chose Cube over Diesel. Diesel refused it, even though he was being offered $20 million for it.

Cube won't be as good for the role as Diesel, but I think the movie looks good.

It does look rather good, which should be its drawing factor. Anyway, i think it will be a moderate success, presumably lowish budget etc.

He isnt a bad actor, he just has to stay to comedy type movies, Barbershop; Friday etc. Ive heard his action movies are quite bad : Torque, Anacondas, Ghost of Mars etc. They should've chosed DMX. He's done a lot of action movies and is half decent at acting.

No, i have not seen them, re-read. I dont intend to watch them aswell. But i do think he's good in the urban-comedy type films he's done. Have you seen any?

Ghost of Mars is easily one of the worst movies ever made.

Yes, the Fridays, he is crap!!!!! Chris Tucker is the one that shines through. He shouldnt have been given xXx, that is clear!

It would be very ironic if XXX2 actually did as well as the first one. That would make it Vin Diesel's second franchise vehicle where he refused to return and it still made tons of money without him

I never saw XXX, event hough it did have the very hot Asai Argento, but I may see the sequel with Ice Cube.

Ice Cubeis doign very well in Hollywood (yes Torque aside, which like alot of movies will probably make its money back in DVD sales and rentals), he movies tend to have low budgets and they make their money back.

Look at the sucess of the Friday movies and the Barbershop movies.

I would nto be surpsied if this did well, just have good action scenes and does it really matter if Diesel comes back, 2 Fast 2 Furious shows it does not.

Vin's presense didn't help Riddick. WHy? Because Pitch Black was a good movie and Riddick was crap.

in the trailer, watching a short wobbly fat black man jump off the roof of a building was the funniest and most pathetic thing i've ever seen in a movie.

The casting sucks! The only reason XXX was successful was that Diesel was hot off the success of The Fast and the Furious.

Wouldn't see this crap anyways, so it really doesn't effect me :wink: . However, Vin Diesel is an idiot for not taking that 20 mil, especially since his short career is already on a downward spiral to hell.

I don't think Vin Diesel is a sequel person. He has only done one sequel and that was The Chronicles of Riddick and I don't even know if that is a sequel.
