Both films are really entertaining and funny, but the first film has three memorable scenes that were laugh out loud/tear inducing. (The urn, the sewage system and the plane) The second one was still funny throughout, but there were not too many laugh out loud/tear inducing moments.

How about him starting the fire in the backyard. And the bathing suit scene and the pool. Plus Owen Wilson added alot.

For me, the first one was classic. It was just great.

But the second, gets extra points for the inclusion of Hoffman and Streisand to make it close to even.

Havent seen the 2nd one, but I did like Meet the parents a lot, one of my favourite comedies :) btw Goldie, do you have to add a poll to this? It ruins the thread. . .

Meet the Parents was funny with minimal effort.

Meet the Fockers was unfunny with a huge amount of strain.

Parents. By a mile.

It's a tough one. I loved both, a lot. If I had to pick one, I'd give the edge to Meet the Parents.

I think you make good threads but the Polls really do bring them down. i mean what kind of option is "Sorry, didn't see PARENTS - can't vote" - if you are opting for this, it means you are voting??? By making the poll smaller ie. just 2 options maybe you would get more responses in posts, adding so many options takes the conversation out.

Ok, I will have to think about that.

For me, the reason I set them up that way is because I both vote and make a comment in a post. I never thought answering both were too much trouble.

And the sorry, I am not seeing ........, was just an extra idea to show who didn't see the other just for comparision sake.

--------------

Off to work but I will ask the general question to everyone.

- Would you prefer the 2 choices only

Fockers
Parents

OR

- Do you like the multiple choices that give more of a detailed answer in the poll.

Parents by ALOT = 33% [ 3 ]
Parents by ALITTLE = 0% [ 0 ]
Fockers by ALOT = 11% [ 1 ]
Fockers by ALITTLE = 22% [ 2 ]
TIE - TOO CLOSE to call = 22% [ 2 ]
Sorry, didn't see PARENTS - can't vote = 0% [ 0 ]
Sorry, not seeing Fockers - can't vote = 11% [ 1 ]
Total Votes : 9

---------

I have no problem doing it either way.

its just me i guess  with most polls i just skip them completely, but yours i find very annoying in the options. Nothing against you though.

Why don't you make a poll about it?

Why don't you try to say something intelligent or original.

I'd only prefer two choices. Or, whatever is necessary. If you were making a movie on "Most Anticipated Movies of January" (ex.), and you made a poll like this:

-White Noise
-Coach Carter
-Are We There Yet?
-Assault of Precinct 13
-Elektra
-Hide and Seek
-etc.

It would be much better than something like this...

-I have an interest in one movie... _______
-I have an interest in two movies .... ______ and _______
-I have an interest in no movies
-I can't wait till February!
-I'll probably see an older movie!
-Some look interesting, but none worth seeing in the theater
-All look interesting, but none worth seeing in the theater

When I go to bed at night, I dream of naked fish dacning in a bowl of sour cream.

How's that for originality?
