Post Top actress earners
http://film.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0 ... 98,00.html

Nicole Kidman is officially the highest paid female actor in Hollywood, with an earning power of $17m (£8.6m) a movie. The Moulin Rouge star topped the Hollywood Reporter's annual earning list for the first time. Last year's winner, Julia Roberts, did not make the top 10 after a quiet 12 months spent caring for her infant twins.

Kidman was followed on the chart by Reese Witherspoon. Winner of this year's best actress Oscar for Walk the Line, Witherspoon now commands up to $15m (£7.6m) a picture.

The top five was rounded out by Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Kirsten Dunst and Friends graduate Jennifer Aniston completed the top 10.

------------
Sorting out the above, it looks like this

Kidman - 17m
Witherspoon - 15m
Zellweger - 15m
Barrymore - 15m
Diaz - 15m
Berry - 14m
Theron - 10m
Jolie - 10m
Dunst - 8-10m
Aniston - 8m

Didn't Witherspoon recently get paid $20+ million to do a horror film?

Diaz was getting 25 million a picture, good to see shes not getting as high anymore, and I would say Roberts is probably right outside it still.

Drew Barrymore is an odd one. Is she riding on Charlie's Angels success? I like her and all, but 15mill?

Shes a producer so she knows how to manage money, but shes stayed in the public eye, there was 50 First Dates which was huge and Fever Pitch and Curious George which both did decent to good business.

Were she to headline a big movie again, Julia could have it open to a larger audience and gross more than just about every actress on that list with maybe the exception of Witherspoon and Kidman. And when I mean a movie, I mean what she used to do, not her animated voice-over/supporting roles of late.

Hehe. Predicts Kirsten Dunst's career to be over soon and that Kidman should pay studios to hire her (what she says about her is true though).

I'd actually say that after Jodie Foster and the currently-not-starring Julia Roberts, Kidman is the next top female draw. I mean her movies might not be doing too great, but she did manage to open The Stepford Wives, Bewitched and The Interpreter above $20 million. Cold Mountain and The Others passed $90 million. As long as she stars in commercial projects, she is a draw. Once it gets to artsy stuff, not so much...

the reason the actresses seem to fluctuate in pay is because there are so many sources that print different things.
This list is the most sensible of the lot.

Uh, Reese? Yeah, Just Like Heaven disappointed and Vanity Fair disappeared, but It's not much worse than Kidman.
