Eddie Murphy back for Beverly Hills Cop IV!!
"Eddie Murphy will return as detective Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop IV, working with Paramount in collaring Lorenzo di Bonaventura as producer, reports Variety.
The new regime at Paramount is keen on reviving the classic action-comedy franchise. Murphy will work closely with the studio and di Bonaventura in reinvigorating and updating the once-lucrative property. The project is out to writers.
Murphy, who will next be in theaters with Dreamgirls, has always been attached to star in the fourth installment."

Rocky 6, Die Hard 4, Rambo IV, Beverly Hills Cop 4...what's the next franchise to be revived?
Hopefully Predator 3 or Alien 5...with a hard R rating.

The first one is classic and part 2 is entertaining, part 3 sucked ass, hopefully the old school bad mouth eddie from the 80s will be back because thats the only way the film can work.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if Judge Reinhold and John Huston come back, this might be a good movie. And worse than what I just said - get Martin Brest back. Sure he directed Gigli, but the first Beverly Hills Cop is a classic.
The only thing I hope they avoid is toning down Foley into a PG-13 character. They practically did that with Part III.

No wonder, its Paramount. There's no chance for an MI4, so they're trying extra hard to revive old franchises, just like MGM has been..

The third is underrated, but they changed way too many things about the series, especially the score which sucked in part 3. It was more Die Hard than a BHC film. We need Murphy to at least have his 80s hair back.
I like Murphy and if the film looks good, Ill be there.

I want a Golden Child 2. I love that movie and have to agree that BHC 3 wasn't that bad. Sneaking around an amusement park at night was something all little kids wanted to do. Perhaps that's why I liked it.

I've been waiting for this to happen for a very long time. BHC and BHC II were great films and BHC III isn't as bad as it's made it out to be. I hope Reinhold (especially him) and Ashton return as well.
