The average is 6.8. That put it below Friday Night Lights but above Remember the Titans and way above Coach Carter and Glory Road. Very good indeed. James Berardinelli didn't like it though, and the highest score at metacritic is 83, so basically well-made, but nothing special, a typical feel-good sports drama. Friday Night Lights really is the only one that had an unique style and broke away from the mold.
Funnily enough, it was also the one I liked the least of them. Never got its acclaim. However, you also need to mention Miracle which at least did come very close to FNL at RT and Metacritic and managed to outdo it at IMDB. That one is actually my favorite sports film of the recent years.
And, yeah, Invincible just seems like an average uplifting film that is just not bad, but not great either. Just decent enough to satisfy moviegoers. But this is exactly the kind of a movie that comes across pretty well with the audiences.
