New Superman trailer coming with X-Men 3?
http://aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=23366
Hmm, considering that WB stated many a time that the trailer released in early May was the "final trailer", I bet this is due to it's negative reaction.

I can see why.. If I were in charge of the WB, I'd worry to about this..

They desperately need a new trailer as the current one is mediocre at best.

Heh yeah I don't think many people really have much interest in constantly checking a 30+ page thread on Superman Returns.
Anyways, I've also been thinking: Will they shift the tone of this trailer to that of the tv spot that aired on Smallville? I hope not, having the Superman Returns trailer be almost dialogue free and just steady beats of action to choral music is almost as dumb as having a trailer with no money shots.

the thing is that now, its no longer trying to sell the movie but just doing damage control.
i hate all the magazine covers and pictures i'm seeing of superman. they look fake and worse, they look like a spoof more than a real film.

Honestly I'm really started to worry about summer 2006. It reminds me of last winter, how there were all these "sure thing" Oscar contenders that either got panned or dissapointed big time at the box office (or both). I mean so far we have M:i:III and Poseidon as a dissapointment and out and out bomb, and even though I think DaVinci Code will be huge it's getting panned. I don't expect X-Men to get good reviews, which would mean that we might have Over the Hedge be the only film of May to live up to expectations both financially and critically. And if it dissapoints too... who knows. The rest of the summer is just as worrying. Every single big film out there has the potential to either be a dud and/or dissapoint at the box office. I've always said this talk of the box office being dead is bullshit, but if this summer is a bellyflop... I think it's time to stop being optimistic. 2007 looks amazing, but every summer looks amazing a year before it hits.

Yeah I just dont see this summer being all that really. Superman will bomb. Pirates should do well but not a sure thing. May has been dissapointing. Doesnt leave much really. I think only Over the Hedge, Cars and Click may be able to salvage something. 2007 though looks great - sort of an amalgam of the best summers - 99, 01, 02, 03, 04 etc.

Superman looks terrible. It actually looks like a spoof film and I think thats the way audiences are viewing it when the trailers come up. Brandon Routh looks all pudgy and just doesnt fit. Plus it brings nothing new to the franchise.
BTW - who are they in your avatar - Damn hot!! Is one of them Ashwaira Rai?

I think bABA hates movies
I mean... he doesn't seem to be anticipating anything, and if any new info comes out on a movie, he bashes it.
The only movies he's anticipating are ones he's already seen.

The tv commericials dont seem to establish a clear plot for the movie, it seems to just give a vibe that you have to see it because its a "Superman movie".I now its only a 45 second commericial but the focus of those commercials seems to be on how many angles they can cam Superman with the occasional "see Superman dodge bullet and stop a plane" but most of us already know what he can do anyhow

Hopefully the new trailer will be a step up from the campy vibe of the last one.

I second that. Some cool money shots wouldn't hurt.

Im glad they aren't showing money shots because I don't want to be spoiled. Too many movies now-a-days ruin there chances of people enjoying the movie to the fullest because the trailer shows everything.
