Well, seeing how Failure to Launch has performed, I suppose here's another romcom hit for McConaughey.

This is either (a) bad because it only exists because the first one made money or (b) awesome because I looooooved the first one.

Well, I know who'll be seein' it: my sister. She LOVES that movie. In fact, she almost went as far as purchasing a dress for her prom that looked very similar to Kate's yellow dress from the near-end of the movie...

Yeah, I can't wait to see her reaction when I tell her about this sequel.

I can't support romantic comedies because love, romance and comedy is all a lie, an illusion.

I bought it and watched it with the family.

My mother was too disinterested to give an opinion, while my stepfather found it to be excruciating. I think he called it "one of those movies you watch in 12th grade under the supervision of an old, festering Lit teacher".

It was (and still is) the most fun I've had at the movies in ages. I get so wrapped up in the imagery, score, and the Keira.

I'd see it if it had most of the original talent involved again.

Yes, I can fully admit I love chick flicks. Especially feather-light ones like this.

I'm wondering about a sequel to this. For example, Legally Blonde is easily in my top 15 favorites ever. The sequel, however, was one of the worst moves released in this decade so far.

SEQUELS defeat the purpose of the original.
In a romcom, at the end they fall in love and live happily ever after and have nice, clean, suburban babies and everything is wonderful and sparkly.

True. Even more successful romcoms haven't been sequelized. I mean the makers of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Hitch, What Women Want, Pretty Woman and My Best Friend's Wedding had all (monetary) reasons to make sequels to their films, yet they didn't.
