Which is your favorite - Godfather Part 1 or Part 2?
Which is your favorite - Godfather Part 1 or Part 2?
Also, what are your favorite scenes in these 2 classic movies.

Even though the Godfather 2 was great, have to stay with the first, Godfather 1.

I liked 2 better, because of the way it compared the Deniro sections with the Pacino sections...
I actually liked the Godfather Saga best though where Coppola edited the first two films chronologically and added in some new scenes.

I have to go back and re-see #2 to refresh my memory.
But from #1, lots of great scenes.
- The music.
- Marlon Brando
- The Godfather speech. The favor speech.
- James Caan - the wacko brother and his murder.
- the only asks one time for a favor.
- the horses head.
- the killings at the end getting rid of his competitors.
Etc.

Wow, I'm sort of surprised at the results of this Poll because I think both Godfather I and II are pretty much equal in quality, but just shown in a different time in both Corleone characters, from when Michael was a boy up to Manhood and him taking over which I think also had it's fair share of violence to.. Oh and bless you for not bringing in the Godfather III which I thought was very unnecessary and was thrown in to make it a complete trilogy..

2 is my favorite, though I adore one.
My favorite scene in the first one is when Micaheal goes to the hospital to see his father, that is were it is all set in motion.

That's the scene that has stuck with me ever since viewing both films, too, and although Part II was very good, I prefer Part I.
