The online reviewers who didn't think too much of the first one are dragging this one down big time though. To be exact, top critics are currently at 50%, with rotten reviews by such influential sources as the NY Times, Chicago Tribune, Time Magazine, and the Associated Press.

I liked the first one....this looked awful from the trailers (a plot about spies??), it will probably be the first Pixar film I do not watch.

40% is pretty bad, Critics and people from the internet HATE it,,,,, cannot talk about the greatness of the film (if there is) 'cause I haven't seen it yet, but I hope this one is being underrated,

Back in March, did anyone expect the latest Vin Diesel flick to have twice the RT score of Pixar's latest offering?

Aah, sing your song about all the sad imitations that got it so wrong: It's like a later Tom and Jerry when the two of them could talk; like the Stones since the eighties; like the last days of Southfork like Pixar with Cars 2 Like Planet of the Apes on TV; the second side of 'Til the Band Comes In; like an own-brand box of cornflakes he's going to let you down my friend

 Re: Cars 2 reviews
NOW that we live in a time in which everybody loves, believes and care what CRITICS say, here is the review from Roger Ebert:http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbc ... 29995/1023Quote: "At a time when some "grown-up" action films are relentlessly shallow and stupid, here is a movie with such complexity," he writes. "Cars 2 is fun. he gave the film 3.5/4..................... higher than TS3 full review: http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbc ... 29995/1023

Ebert hasn't been relevant for years.

How does it not make him relevant that he gave 1 film a higher score than the other??? It's all based on OPINIONS folks..

Jesus, I can't believe Pixar fans are just as bad as comic book/Potter/Twilight fans.

 Re: Cars 2 reviews
Ebert makes an interesting point about the whole "it's about playing with cars during your childhood!" thing... but the film was devoid of any emotion or sentimentality towards one's childhood and the joy of playing with toy cars. It's not like at the end of the film, you pan back from the lifeless cars to see a child playing with a massive collection of toy cars, toy race tracks, etc.
Actually, that's a Pixar move there. How that eluded them is beyond me.
