In seeing some of Arnold's average middle of the road movies today - Eraser and Total Recall - they show why Arnold was so great. Even these movies had great action, good lines, stories, etc.

Total Recall is an excellent movie. Eraser is cool too, but after recently watching it, its shocking to see how watered down the action actually was back in only 1996.

If you recently watched, what scenes or what was watered down.

I think today scenes are more watered down cause those movies had more of a complete real fight.

I watched Eraser and only some in recall.

In Eraser, you had the great fight scene in the beginning with the spike guy, the cool fight in the forest house, the plane scene, the fight at the zoo, the fight at the end with the mob guys and the bad guys at the end. And I am probably still leaving out some scenes

Like I said, Eraser is just one of his average movie and it was packed better than most of today's movies.

Sorry, by watered down i meant the way that they used a CGI crocodile, which really put me off the film alot.

Also, the way that the pacing was slower than i remembered it to be.

I like Arnold, but i prefer his 80's stuff.

Apart from the "odd film", nowadays films are more watered down yes, the action scenes today seem to be quicker and more choppy (ie. changing shots too quickly), thats why i prefer eighties..for action.

For most other stuff i prefer modern films.

On the crocs, that would have been cool if they used real crocs - imagine that, you guys are going to have a fight in a small contained room with water and we are going to have 5 real crocs roaming around.

Just remember to stay away from them. And now Action.
